anne, 05 Aug 2011just asking if what os is best for htc hd2?The best OS for your HD2 is the windows mobile 6.5 with an up-to-date ROM that was made for your S/N.
The OS you may “LIKE” the most on your HD2 is a different story altogether. Use your freedom of choice to make your own decision. (there is Android, windows mobile & windows phone) Don’t let other people choose for you.

anne, 05 Aug 2011just asking if what os is best for htc hd2?anne..it depends on individual choice,if you're winmo user..htc hd2 comes outtabox with winmo, but i would suggest try android as u get the snappiness & good battery life on it.as it already got 1gigz snapdragon..plus you will find all the latest updated roms in xda..you can also try winmo 7..use a dual boot through sd or use directly as nand flash.XDA Developers is the rite place for you.

    Peace

Arnomerc, 03 Aug 2011Anthony, When i follow your instructions, the screen that ... moreOk if you have reached to that point and nothing more happens…. It is because of 1 of 3 reasons
              1. you copped the wrong file to the SD
              2. you renamed the file incorrectly
              3. you did not put the file on the “root” of the SD

start by telling me, when you decompressed the ROM, what are the name full name of the files you saw and what was there file size?

                  Hi Anthony,
Always been impressed how much time and effort you have put in to helping people here.
You most likely don't need my advice, but just in case this helps:
Had my HD2 since Nov 09 and now have relegated it to my 2nd phone.
Put my main sim into a Sensation a month ago.
The phone is amazing, fast, better battery, but it's harder to use!
l need glasses to read but could use all the HD2 functions without glasses, not so with the Sensation. Constantly having to squint to see if it's what l need, so need glasses all the time.
The weather 'show' is a step back, the seceen is smaller, dropped it twice already as it's edges are thin (never dropped my HD2)
Guess l'm lucky having them both, but don't want to have to haul around 2 phones.
The Sensation is great, just wished they'd improved the HD2.
                  Take care
                  Phil

Let me explain why in layman terms.
Think of you phone as a high end car..
SPL would be the ignition switch that will only allow a matching encrypted digital key to start it or access higher functions. The makers of un-official keys (a.k.a un-official ROMs) would never be able to easily duplicate your digital key. that's where HSPL comes in to play..... If you can't fake the key, change the lock. HSPL is a ignition switch like the one in the average car, works with a Simple key. No digital encryption at all. And very easy to bypass. Hope this helps others understand as well.
