No tethering, no multitasking, no videocalls, no external memory card, no nothing????? shit!! I prefer iPhone. 4ever iPhone. Say what you want to say cons iPhone, but it's the best! HTC comes only with Adroid, and with Andoid you can not put apps in the storage memory, only in RAM, max 750mb... shit too!

This phone is absolutely awesome! Don't know what the reviewer is saying about the problems with the camera button being placed too close to the middle, it's no problem at all, unless you're a little kid or with kid sized hands. The problem concerning the ghosting in the screen? rubbish! the display is stunning. And come on, who views their phone sideways or from the top or bottom, or from the weird angles mentioned? you look at phone screens front on. I'm an industrial designer and I believe the design of the phone is really well designed. It's seems strongly built as well. Only problem is the wi-fi, can't seem to connect to some routers i try to connect to, similar to the HD2 and HERO wi-fi issues, but the rest is amazing. The WP7 platform is a big improvement and a job well done for microsoft in my opinion considering it's a 1.0 release, so the updates are just going to make it better. For the apps, there's still a small count of apps available, but iPhone apps also didn't explode that quick when it was just released, so did the android, so just chill back, relax and wait for WP7 to mature.

Just got the phone, still up in the air on it. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen? You have to scroll up and touch "answer" to answer a phone call. I've missed several calls because I couldn't get the damn thing to scroll up!!!
            Thanks

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2010Does anybody know how to get the o2 picture off which shows... more02 picture on start up is branding on the handset and can only be removed using specific equipment to do so, simply unlocking the phone will not remove the branding, try your local phone repair shop they may be able to debrand the handset so it will be as if you bought it sim free.

But it is really sad to read experience you have had with such promising OS. I like the UI too but the overall package is not for me at this stage. I really wish they add things soon.

I forgot to mention that the home-button in the browser will always take you to Yahoo's mobile portal - something that looks like a WAP page. There's no way to change it. It is a complete disappointment to those looking for a uniform BING experience.

I posted here about a month (or so) ago, and this is just a follow-up. I order a HTC HD7, received it, used it for about a month, then sold it. In short, the devicce felt too "beta" for my liking. While I loved the UI, I just couldn't sit around waiting for MS to release the much needed updates it has promised to release.

                          1. Third-party applications suffer from sever performance issues on the WP7 platform. I mostly use RSS news readers, and every single one I tried on WP7 was clunky, choppy, and lacked the buttery smooth scrolling found in the WP7 UI. Not just news readers, just about all "informational" type apps - like the IMDB app etc... Very disappointing.

                          2. Cannot connect to Exchange Server if your username has a space in it (which mine does).

                          3. The native IE browser doesn't render a number of high-profile sites correctly. For example, go to the Engadget site, start reading an article, and you will notice the page continuously "jumping" (result of the banner ad changing every second or so).

                          4. Almost impossible to sign up as a developer for non-US residence (like myself) because the application form asks for some kind of "tax reference" number that most citizens in other countries simply do not have. I called Inland Revenue here in the UK and they told me that they would not give me one unless I earned over £70K a year.

I think the WP7 has a lot of promise, it was simply rushed to market too early (for the Christmas shopping frenzy).

One other noteworthy item....many people have considered the strict app selection through the HTC Hub as being a negative. I feel this is actually a good thing myself. Too many times we all see an app and load it to find it is simply a hardware and memory hog, and as we all know any phone becomes a slug with a lot of apps running and sucking up resources in the background. The OS is designed to keep the phone running great all the time without a "kill app" or having to reboot the phone, and lets face it... it is ALWAYS when you need to find or do something that you find yourself rebooting and waiting for a restart when you need the phone the most.
There are already tons of apps for this phone, from detailed programs for work all the way down to a "Fart" button! The difference is these apps have been designed by strict windows 7 phone standards, and they wont leave you wishing the phone wasn't so slow.

Sometimes a "controlled" apps market can be a good thing. So far over half of the apps are free, and the most expensive apps I've seen are xbox live games that are around 4.99 US

As far as multitasking, I can open a note program, click back to home, open something else and then go back to notes and it is still working in the same place I was.

                                  If you visit w7 phone page, you can see the first update for W7 phones includes;

Cut & Paste - Left out during original build
Advanced ringtones option, including using your own mp3

Tile options for the main page

user shell to allow one multi-tasking program at a time

still by far the best win OS I have used, and already I am liking the look and feel better than driod UI. apps run quickly and load and unload blazing fast!

Earpiece creates an almost theater like sound when watching netflix movies or listening to music, I actually caught myself looking around to see if the bass was bothering anyone! LOL

All right so I haven't have my own experience with HD7 but some clients and friends asked things about me so I searched out several youtube videos to show them HD7 playing different games and taking care of Office document and things like that, including few words about how HD7 can benefits the work environment. All in very short so if any of you are interested in take a look over
                                        http://www.inconsol.net ?p3201 and
                                        http://www.inconsol.net ?p3197

It is good to read down there that HD7 is running without hickups. I really wish they would allow true-multitasking even if it is between 3 to 5 applications.
