ppj, 04 Aug 2014I am already using HTC one M7. Is it worth replacing with M8? Sure you should, I have bought an M8 for myself and M7 for my wife the same day, M7 is very good phone while M8 is great, the good things are it does not overheat as M7 and the battery is unbelievable, the first time ever that my phone lasts for 2 days, which I had never seen with my last 2 phones (HTC Desire & HTC One X)

You'll save a lot of money for a sturdy phone.
Going serious, buy any phone and put an otterbox on it. It'll be totally safe.

i'm looking for a good smart phone and HTC caught my attention. but i was wondering if they are tough enough? i have butter fingers and drop my phone A LOT!! besides many times it just slides off my pockets while i'm sitting. its still alive just because its a nokia. but can a HTC go through the same amount of torture??
p.s: i like the HTC one mini and desire 700 (dual sim) very much. are these phones tough or will they brake after a fall or two?my budget is around $300. please suggest any other smartphone in that range (except samsung and Iphone. i hate those. )

To those who are so worked out about the megapixels, do you know that HTC one mini 2 which is the smaller/inferior version of M8 has a 13MP camera. Come on HTC are not that daft. 4MP ultrapixels must be better than the 13MP on the mini 2 surely.

I have my HTC one M8. I don't where all this farce about the camera is coming from. For your information guys, specs don't make a good phone. It is about how you put everything together and make everything work in harmony. HTC know how to do this. I have taken a few photos and they are all impressive. Screen is smooth and feels responsive.

I don't know why HTC can't design a better camera. All the phone cameras after their HTC One X are horrible. The camera on the One X is the best after the Lumia 920 in 2012. All HTC has to do, just increase the sensor size.
I'm going to sell my iPhone 5s on this Wednesday. I tried so many times to adapt to ios, but I couldn't. It's just a very light OS lack of flexibility, I can't fight against it. iPhones are ideal for teenagers and basic users. Don't know what will be the iPhone 6 but I think as usual, it will be a resize of iPhone 5s with some hardware upgrades.
The main reason why my mind always says to move to Samsung because of their OLED panel. I hope to buy a Note 4, just waiting with some hope move back to a Samsung device again.
Have a nice day.

AnonD-116479, 04 Aug 2014Actually, one of my friends bought a Desire 816 and I check... moreThe desire 816 and m8 mini have a good camera. But the e8 have a really cheap one. Check the gsmarena review. I'll quote the paragraph:
"As for the image quality of the main camera, we are not quite sure what to make of it. We were amazed by the image quality and the mature processing of the 13MP cameras on the HTC One mini 2 and the HTC Desire 816. And there's no point of beating around the bush, with such high expectations, we were disappointed with the HTC One (E8) camera.
Compared to these two previous models we mentioned, it's like the camera of the HTC One (E8) was developed by another company. Quite possibly, the camera sensor is the same, as we are seeing identical amounts of noise in shadows and roughly the same amount of detail resolved.
However, when it comes to colors, contrast, sharpness and overall processing, the HTC One (E8) couldn't be more different than the HTC One mini 2 and the Desire 816. The photos produced by its camera have shockingly low contrast and the colors are seriously desaturated. The fine detail is soft and uninspiring."
The reason why I've started commenting here more is due to a troll who has crept in the s4 forum. His name is prashant and posts 30 troll posts a day. The page has become useless due to him. Go there and see that how one troll can make a forum useless.
Have a nice day

Surprisingly, it's better than my M8 in daylight photography and video recording. Sometimes even better than the Xperia Z2. I thought that's the same camera on the E8. Therefore, it should be better. I'm waiting for some more reviews to clarify that.
Thanks for the info.
