I bought HTC One M8 two days ago August 2 2014...I have problem I try to setup the voice touched back function..agter that I cannot open my phone using PIN to unlock phone screen...please advice me regrading this matter..the said unit is very good but maybe unfutunately I miss used the function..

I'm upgrading sortly with in the next week or so i read a few comments and they look good i currently have the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Exyous(N900) is it worth upgrading now I love roms and root yeah i know this is kinda a downgrade in the sence of screen size but I'll ajust any downsides to the phone can i always have max Brightness and it wouldn't deside because of intence cpu usage like the g3 to bring it down a bit I really don't care for 4K though i like takeing pics now and then the Z2 has a few issues there and i hate windowsphone so it's between the HTC One(M8) they don't sell the E8 in my country and well i really don't know I have quite big hands and like power so noless then 5" any ideas would be nice thanks

[deleted post]Note 3 certainly has a better camera than the HTC M8. However, if you desperately need an HTC phone, just try the HTC One E8. Its 13 MP shooter clearly better than the 4MP shooter on the M8.

HTC M8 is way better than the G3. I even thought that G3 will be better than my HTC M8. LG G3 is a huge fail of LG.
* The display on LG G3 doesn't even come close to the M8 even though it's a QHD. It's a dim display with the lack of contrast.
* The battery life on G3 is not impressive as HTC M8.
* HTC Sense is smooth and elegant than the Optimus UI.
* The hardware on G3 is not compatible with the QHD display. When you play high-end games on G3, it's quite lagging.
* HTC phones get Android updates way faster than the LG phones.
If HTC M8 is your current phone, I recommend you to keep the M8. If you really need to move to another phone, just wait for the upcoming Xperia Z3 in the next month.

It doesn't matter whether it is a metal phone, polycarbonate or glass. The only thing matters to us is, built quality. Samsung phones have huge built quality issues. Every month we hear news about damaged Galaxy devices. But we rarely hear news about damage HTC, Apple or Sony devices. Samsung should consider this seriously and prevent this type of issues.

after my Note 3 experience I fell so disappointed in Samsung that I dont want to have any of it again !
that's one more reason not to consider having Samsung for me plus their android support and updates it feels that it doesn't come right to the device and causes multi problems !

the m8 is significantly better in hand due to the metal body( the silver version is the best with anodized aluminum). But s5 isn't that cheap.
Go to a store and hold s5. There is nothing bad in that.
Regarding the z2 heating, it will heat up in any intensive task like gaming, using camera or any processor intensive task.
Anyway, m8 is much better than z2 if you don't care that much about camera.
The main fight is between s5 and m8. Go and hold an s5 in a store and tell me.

I like this phone due to the metal casing, especially switching from Iphone IOS to Android. I can't let go of the metal case. It is a must not some cheap plastic.

Based on my HTC experience this phone is not good interms of Camera, Metal body case, ugly UI design. After that I switch to galaxy S5 more features, superb camera esp against the light angle, water proof, (heart rate)design for human, Real time Multi-tasking (open app at the same time) and Led display (most advance ligtning technology)

regarding the Z2 overheating issue is it experienced in all regular daily bases use or just when it comes specifically to the camera usage ?!

If we exclude these 2 features, m8 is the absolute winner. It has a much better UI, it's faster, is ergonomically better and looks better. It has much better speakers and audio quality too.
The only advantage of z2 has is waterproofing, battery life (slightly) and camera. But since you probably don't care about the camera.
Z2 also has since overheating and call quality issues.
In short, m8 will give you a much better experience.
If you want to go Sony, wait for 1 month. Z3 will be released.
