Meera, 09 May 2014Hie!! i stay in India and i'm very keen to buy the HTC M8 ... moreAs long as it's unlocked it WILL work flawlessly. If I buy this I will buy from US too. Indian versions are mostly 16 GB and more pricey, so it's kinda meaningless to go for the Indian versions, unless one needs warranty badly.

I got an unlocked version M8 (32GB) from UK, & absolutely lovin it. I must say that this is a real beauty in its own class. It is a fully metallic unibody (0 gap) beauty filled with loads of features which cannot be missed.
    Display is absolutely sharp.
Call clarity is absolutely crystal clear.
Ultrapixel Cam gives you better images/videos which is much much better than that of S4, S5 & other models in the same range.

Internet connectivity is great both in 3G as well as 2g (And this is also 4G compatible)

Blinkfeed, Zoe & other features are included (just like in that of M7)

The best ever improvement in this is the battery life. It lasted longer than what i expected (after hours of browsing, capturing pics & vids, playing videos, listening to music, gaming for almost entire day my battery had 38%.) You also have extreme power saver mode which can be used for 36hrs (Battery under 10% & without charge)

It can charge up fully in 1 & half hour max. (Alternatively, you can purchase Quick charge 2 which can enable to charge even faster)

Memory: I got this 32gb (inbuilt) which can be expanded upto whooping 128g (but card must be purchased separately)

As per the info on some web, HTC M8 costs around 48/49k.

To those nagging about the on screen buttons, it was pushed by Google as android is heading in that direction. So Sense is now closer to stock android. Hence, easier for HTC to apply Sense to future android updates thus, faster updates.
No need to redo the whole UI with ugly and laggy interface like Samsung. Don't get me wrong, Samsung makes great phones but horrible with UI and UI optimization. Whenever I buy a Samsung, I make it a priority to install custom roms.

And to those asking "So the keys are now on screen, Why the big bezel where the HTC logo is at?". HTC has mentioned they need that space to fit internal components.
The M8 is by no means perfect, but these haters are making it look worse than how it really is.

At the end of the day though, it's all up to personal preference. No need to bash unreasonably

when it comes to camera features Samsung Galaxy S5 has put a wider array of features on its new flagship, covering most
of what the HTC One (M8) can do.
Zoe is nice but can't carry the M8 alone and despite
having a whole second camera to help it the shallow
depth of focus feature is not clearly better than
Samsung's. It will work better for moving objects, but
other than that the Galaxy S5 results looked cleaner hence I go with s5

when it comes to audio quality HTC One (M8). With quality audio hardware, the HTC flagship manages excellent headphone
output too. The clarity might be only a tad better on
the One (M8), but combined with the far louder
output it's enough to make it the definitive winner
here. I go with htc in this case

when it comes to loudspeakers HTC One (M8) puts great emphasis on the speakers and it comes as no surprise they
                            perform great.
The Galaxy S5 isn't that much louder than the HTC
and, due to speaker placement, its loudspeaker isn't
better at notifying you for incoming calls and
messages.so I go with the one m8 in this case

why always fail in designing their phones? most of their phones fail to garner enthusiasm in buyer's perspective simply because there is no expansion sdcard slot or removable battery or both.

the battery will be the first to be damaged due to frequent charging & discharging, users can't replace them conveniently by themselves. once this model is obsolete in another year, replacing the battery at htc is like purchasing a new phone.

sdcard expansion is most important since the camera is so high res and photos taken take up a lot of space leaving not much space for mp3 songs or movies.

htc phones is of high quality, my first smart phone is a htc sensation xl which is still running fine but i need more storage for photos & videos, so i jumped to a galaxy s3. listen to buyer's expectations and you will be number one.

when it comes to app package The HTC One (M8) has
certain hardware advantages, which help it in the
media player department, but Samsung's app package
is richer out of the box. The S Health app is amazing
                                too.
The HTC One (M8) has an FM radio for those who still
haven't made the switch to Internet streaming. You
might be switching its music and video players
because they lack some needed features and the
Fitbit app is non-exclusive, which hurt HTC's case
here. I steal prefer s5 in this case of app package

when it comes to performance the Samsung Galaxy S5 is Having a bit more CPU oomph, which in turned boosted web performance,
give this victory to the S5.
It's a narrow victory as the One (M8) held its own in
3D gaming and is still one of the fastest phones so the s5 is better when it comes to performance

Without activating the power saving mode, the S5 can use around 40 min - 1 hour more than the M8. It's not really a big difference.

I don't really concern about the wireless charging feature and it's not important to me. You can buy a Portable Phone Charger around $20 from Ebay.

When it comes to the interface Samsung Galaxy S5 has The extra security and

and we like having Multi Window even if it won't see

most of the TouchWiz features, but still has some
catching up to do. Samsung galaxy s5 takes it for interface

For battery Samsung Galaxy S5. This was very close indeed, the Galaxy S5 never really outlasted he HTC One (M8) by more than an hour. That's still more than nothing and the replaceable battery will be helpful for those who don't mind carryinga spare. In some regions the Galaxy S5 has wireless charging, in others a wireless charging back cover is an optional accessory. To be fair, most people don't have a spare battery and very few use wireless charging. The battery life of the HTC One (M8) by itself is very good – almost as good as that of the Galaxy S5. For the battery the s5 takes it
