If I really need to buy a new phone, I won't buy the M8. I would rather wait for some thing interesting. But I saw today on Gsmarena that a new flagship phone of the HTC called M8 Prime (Max 2) has to release in September. Most importantly, it has really impressive specifications. If it better than the iPhone 6 and my M8 I'll certainly buy it.

I have already answered to your issue. I have answered it by a reply to your or Shubham's comment. Please read my previous comments, then you will find the answer to your question. I think you are concern about the camera and its lens quality. I mention it again, I assure you this phone has premium quality scratch resistance lens. I also gave my flikr profile link so you can check the camera quality by your eyes.

If you seriously concern abut the camera quality & you certainly need to buy a HTC device I recommend you the upcoming M8 Prime. It has 5.5 display I think it's not really a big issue to you. According to rumours it has QHD display, 18 mp sensor and latest Snapdragon 805 that would be a big deal for you. If a 4 mp sensor gives you such a good performance think what would be if there a 18 mp sensor? If the size doesn't matter to you it would be ideal for you.

I am here, he is here, WHY do think is that? Cause we are interested in the phone, if I were not then I would be spending time on the S5 page rather than here.

I simply asked him a question about that cheap lens cover and he didn't answer but said stuffs which were not related at all to my query!

Samsung uses plastic. I don't like them. They have so many idiot fans. Their products are not worthy of the price. I agree with all these points, BUT there are more behind that, and I get it now. Selling my S4 was a bad decision, at least now when I see there is no worthy phone to upgrade to!

S5 (not Exynos obviously) vs Z2 now, unless this 'cheap lens' thing is disproved by some validity.

You all want me to favour m8 which isn't the case. But believe it. I believe that whatever I said is true 100%. I praised m8 for it's metal build and boomsound. And s5 for the screen and camera. If you don't like it, avoid it. Plus there should be a talk for both sides. That's my view. I'll praise m8 on an s5 forum and s5 on an m8 forum so as to have a healthy discussion and both sides are equal. That's just my mentality. If you don't like it. I'm sorry. And even the techno j. Mocked me on one or 2 views by saying he found my conclusions ridiculous. That gives me full freedom to debate against his views. And don't you think opposite viewpoints make for a healthy discussion. Anyways, it's our matter. There's no need for you to involve.

                        Have a nice day

You can ask thousand questions as the forum is meant for that. But you are trying to prove how bad M8 is in comparison of S5. Check your post. The HTC One (M8) is undeniably the better-looking
phone (which might be void if you use a case) and the
feel of real metal tops the feel of fake leather any
day. The front-facing stereo speakers are also great,
but the move to on-screen buttons didn't do much to
reduce the height, though it does eat into usable
                            screen space.
The Galaxy S5 is more practical though with the IP67
rating and user-accessible battery. It's more compact
and lighter too. The faux leather is also much better
than the glossy plastic of last year, even if it won't
                            win over metal fans.
                            display s5 takes it

I don't think the s5 audio is cheap. Even the snapdragon version has the same DAC add the m8. The m8 has better volume levels but to get a decent audio from s5, just check out the adapt sound feature. It's great.

I think my s4 has to take another year as I don't think flagships are worth upgrade. I need a good camera and screen. So the m8 fails. The m8 has good audio and camera but I've been spoiled by my s4. The s5 has a lot of problems.

                              I'll wait for note 4, s5 premium or g3.

Have a nice day. It was a pleasure interacting with you.

AnonD-116479, 07 May 2014I'm not a fan boy, I have been using smartphones since 2010... moreYou still didn't answer to my query mate.

I have bought phones worth over a million in past 7-8 years, that's not the point here. I was a SE user from 2004-2009, then moved to Samsung. Undoubtedly SE was WAY superior in everything, but then that OLED panel tech attracted me to Samsung. I don't have any problem or any biased view towards any brand either. I just need a good phone, doesn't matter what brand it has. However Apple is out of my league, have used iPhone 5S, and it's better to have an irrecoverable disease than having it, again that's not the point.

I simply can't believe this problem with hTC M8. I mean everybody puts an oleophobic coating on the lens nowadays, and this phone is targeted to more refined or elegant users, who cares for build material, build quality, so it just doesn't make any sense. It's totally hTC's responsibility. This is basic, nothing extra ordinary needed to be done! It's like painting a very cheap colour to a BMW! Meaningless.

I would take Samsung plastic without these stupid problems any day over this childish hardware nonsense of a premium metal. And people know how much I dislike Samsung.

                                        * M8 suitable for people who looking for a good looking entertainment phone with smooth Android experiences.

                                        * S5 ideal for advance users who looking bulky features.

Anyway, I even concern about the upcoming iPhone 6. If it meets my preferences, I'll sell the M8 and buy a iPhone 6. Whatever people say no phone one can beat the performances of a iPhone. The reason why I don't like them, its display is too small for me. I expect at least 4.7 inches display.

                                        Good luck!
