I have had htc phones forever and never been contacted by them. I have been contacted by Apple and Samsung though and never have or will buy either one of their products. I have owned only HTC phones since phones became smart. Friends and family that have LG or Samsung or iPhones are always waiting for the NEW one to come out, because they think it will somehow be better. I run an HTC for two years or so because they just don't screw up.

The fact that HTC is willing to pay so many people for posting positive reviews about this phone should be enough for anyone to stay away from it.
Just wait for the S7 to come out in a few month and the HTC will have to price the A9 at 99$

There are much better alternatives at better prices.

But apart from that I have had a htc one m9 in the past and the battery life was terrible didn't even last a day and that was on power saving mode all the time I never took it off power saver mode or it would last (average use) and everything else about the phone was okay but I wouldn't waste my time again on any htc until they sort the battery problem out
