                      There are wrong info!

                      Infrared port Yes -> M8s does not have infra port! (M8 is not M8s)
                      Sensors barometer -> M8s does not have barometer! (M8 is not M8s)
                      Video 1080p@60fps -> M8s has only 30fps in full HD! (M8 is not M8s)

                        I got confirmation from customer care HTC One m8s does NOT have GorillaGlass. It has some kind of scratch resistant glass for protection.

                        May be country dependant.

                                    madu, 05 Jul 2015After all i have found that this phone does have an ir blas... moreThere is way too much confusion on this subject. Some people say they don't have it and some blame the OS.

                                    1. This phone absolutely does have an ir blaster no matter where you got it from, there is only one single model of m8s, no such thing as my version or their version has or doesn't have.
                                    2. Lollipop is not the cause for not having proprietary htc software for it, the application simply was discontinued by htc, you need third party software by default for any up to date htc One phone.

                                    And the temperature, there's even more of "my version, your version" tales. This phone gets hot with heavy use like absolutely any phone in recent years. The max temperature? 70 degrees, does it sound excessive? Yes, is it uncommon? No, any flagship or Qualcomm device from the last two years reaches that temperature after heavy use for long periods of time (1-2 hours) the difference is that this phone is all metal and like any One, people go crazy with their stories because they feel any temperature change. You don't see such exaggerations when it comes to Nexus 6, G3, iPhone 6/6+, S6/Edge, Z3, believe it or not all those phones also top out at 70 degrees C and while iPhone users can definitely feel how hot their 6 feels they don't look for actual numbers of their temperature to see those 66-70 degres so they don't go crazy over it.

                                    Yes the phone can be hot, all phones running on Qualcomm chips and any flagship chip from other makers like Samsung do reach 70 degrees (whether you believe it or not that is a simple fact, anyone who actively works in phone software development can tell you that). However, there is practically no issue with it running at that temp when gaming on extreamely heavy games for example, even if technicall the battery obviously suffers more over time, however, that is the curse of any smartphone these days, htc devices aren't more "special" in that regard. Your typical operational temperature is at 30, maybe 40 if you're browsing or watching a movie, 50 if you're gaming for 20-30 minutes with mainstream games not the truly demanding ones.

                                    I'll say one thing tho, for those looking for a powerful phone which doesn't get as hot as your typical device, N916, you probably won't be able to get one due to its availability, but that Note 4 variant manages to keep that 810 abomination at under 58 degrees when it goes up to 74 on any other device.

                                    @mobilegeekz

                                    Not sure what you're specifically looking for but htc always had more useful gestures than Samsung, watch any m8 gesture video for example, the features are the same for any of htc's recent phones.

                                        Great phone, takes getting used to but gesture technology surprisingly useful. Could be a little faster maybe, but still grand, stylish and a big battery as well.
