As indicated in an earlier comment, I said that the HTC One M9 would do much better than expected due to the S6's mistake of no SD card and lower battery life. This has already begun even before the first handsets for either have been sold. How can I make such a claim? Look at the daily interest percentage on the graph to the left. It was hovering about 28% pre-launch, went to 31% on launch day, then dropped back to 28%. However, as of today, it is at 39% which is a full 26% increase over the launch day values. Anecdotal, yes, but still impressive change. Bodes very well for the HTC One M9, in spite of the comments regarding bezels, speaker placement, bar, old design, and other repetitive "form" comments. As said before, HTC One M9 will win and win in a very big way with this. I have also seen random polls which indicate that the M9 is favored out right over the S6 and even the S6 Edge. This will not happen in reality. Samsung is a giant compared to HTC. The S6 will still outsell the M9 by a very significant margin, but HTC will bite into Samsung's mobile market share in a way that has not ever been seen before. It will be fun to watch.

HTC always! My last 6 phones have all been HTC and the M8 was the best of the best! Can't wait to see the M9

Sanil, 15 Mar 2015To improve sound htc has put ugly odd sized-one small and a... moreLol...its Htc M9 we are talking about..Many dont even have money to afford this while you are saying that you'll feel ashamed in front of public if you carry this..only because of its design..Let me tell you something,the Similer M8 was the best looking smartphone of last year..If you hate this design then I think you need to go to a doctor & check your eyesight,..or you just need to fix your fashion sense,or just buy an S6...which dont have The Ugly Speaker Grills...ha ha ha....yeah right,ashamed in front of public...seriously..?If you see what those ugly speakers can do...may be you wouldnt have said this.

I really feel ashamed to carry this phone in the public if I buy. So I am waiting for e9 which has equal sized speaker grills therefore looks better than m9 and later will switch to m10 or whatever the next version be if it comes with equal sized speakers and bezels on the top and bottom and round shaped rear cam instead of a square cam.

Quad HD is overkill,its unnecessary to put it in a 5" display... And the worst part it consumes more battery and power in pushing so many extra pixels which gives a hit to the performance and battery life... Take for example the s6.. Battery stats show its battery life is even lower than the m8 and the s5..by 10 and 20hrs respectively... It probably will also lose against the m9 also... So you see its quite a sensible decision to put a 1080p screen..

its a very rich looking phone, the design is new but still attractive as the old one. The features are awesome for the price especially the 20.7MP camera. but it should have come with a QUAD HD display as many flagship smartphones comes equipped with that. Its also a little bulkier as its rivals mainly are lightweight. The best features are the new front facing speakers with improved sound, the whole new camera which rivals brands like samsung, apple and sony in the camera department. I am more interested if the processor will have heating issues. Overall its a fabulous smartphones with all the elegance and filled with tons of exciting new features.

Not expected this from HTC which has not even standed in front of the current top flagship and some which are coming like Z4,G4,Nubia and all
It lost from Samsung's latest flagship S6...Poor result compared to M8 which was great and unstoppable it beat the S5,G3,Moto X nexus 5 and last but not the least note 3 thought I didnt include Z2 coz that was something awsum which was in equal to M8,yaa but z3 not any change just clocked higher and lost 100mah which decreased the capiablity of that phone.hmm at last not expected this from HTC

M7 and one max has equal sized speakers that looks beautiful than those on m8 and m9 where the top one is small which may be mistaken for earpiece and the larger one on the bottom for the speaker,by people who is seeing m8 and m9 for the first time. More than that it makes the phone to look ugly, designed by some cheap company. Htc should have kept the speaker size same on the top and bottom and to improve sound quality do anything inside if they can,if not be happy with what it has Don't try to improve sound quality by making ugly changes on the exterior design.
