Mostafa Gad, 29 May 2014hi anthony , can you please tell me how to send file via WI... more@ Mostafa Gad, you are killing me :(
If you can remember, I asked you to test it on 4.3 because it’s not working in 4.4.2 and I wanted to know if it was working in 4.3. Did you try using (Wifi Direct) in 4.3 at all as i asked you to?

There are ways other people try with installing the same transfer app on both phones but I want a universal solution (one where I don’t need to install a app or I only need to install the app on my phone) because I not going to be asking random people to install apps on their phone so I will be able the send files quickly.
    HOW WIFI DIRECT SHOULD WORK
If you want to send a file over wifi direct.
Both parties would turn it ON (settings>Wi-Fi>Menu>Wi-Fi Direct) then pair there devices.
Then you just have to pick the file you wanted to send and pick wifi direct from the file share menu. And that’s it, the file would start sending when the other person accepts.

It is reaching as far a pairing on the ONE MAX with 4.4.2 and I’m getting an error when I try to send or receive.

        Power saving mode.
This can be left ON most of the time once you tweak it to your needs.
2 finger swipe the notification bar to bring up quick settings.
        Turn power saving OFF
Tap the 3 dots next to it, to go into the settings. Check the items you want to use. (For work reasons I left data connection unchecked) then turn the power saving mode ON.
As for screen brightness on the quick settings, ever time to tap it, it changes. I find just one blue make is all I need for everyday use. And in a dark room I can go with zero blue marks.

Mostafa Gad, 27 May 2014sorry anthony , what do you mean by rooting , can you expla... more3 main things to look at when your battery is draining fast in this phone.
GPS settings, power saving mode settings & screen brightness level.
GPS this sucks battery like a vampire so you want this one to be set up correctly.
Before I got this phone I had a SIII and that only had 2 GPS modes OFF and ON. This phone has a lot of gray areas when it comes to GPS settings and it took some experimenting to understand it fully.
There is (high accuracy, battery saving, Device Sensors & OFF) and any of those modes can be set to the on & off position. And each one of the modes use a different amount of power.
Start by setting the mode for the off toggle.

2 finger swipe the notification bar to bring up the quick settings.
Turn GPS OFF, if it is ON.
Then tap the 3 dots for the GPS settings, it should take you to the Location settings.
Once you want apps to have access to location information no matter if the toggle is set to OFF or ON in the quick settings (e.g weather, fb and camera) the toggle should be on, in the top/right corner.
All app don’t need a spot on GPS location so the mode should be set to Battery saving.
(This will allow app that ask for GPS information when the GPS toggle is OFF in the quick settings to get the location using the battery saving method.)
If you want no app to get any kind of location data when the toggle is set to OFF in the quick settings, then set the toggle in the top/right of location to off.
Once you have completed setting up how you want the GPS quick settings toggle to function when in the OFF position, 2 finger swipe the notifications bar again and turn ON the GPS toggle.
With it ON tap the 3 dots again and go into the location settings again.
This time you are settings the Mode for when it is ON.
If you don’t use NAV apps you can set the ON position mode to Battery saving. But if use NAV apps you have to set it to High accuracy or Device sensors.
Once you have set this up you should have no need to go in the settings again and just you the toggle in the quick settings to which between the modes you set for toggle off and toggle on.
Keep in mind that only navigation apps need high accuracy or device sensors. All other apps that need location data will work just fine in battery saving mode. (so I have my battery saving mode set to toggle off) And if you are super paranoid then set toggle OFF to have location OFF altogether. That will save the most power.

          To be continued….

Could you do me a favour before you update? Could you check and see if you can send a file to a next phone using wifi direct. Because it’s not working in 4.4.2 some people say they got it working with downloaded software.

Real WiFi direct should work without the need for a router. That's why it's called direct. It's supposed to be like Bluetooth but using the WiFi radio instead.
