I have used this phone for two weeks now, the 16GB black european version with the 1.5Ghz processor. The performance of it is sublime, and the battery life smashes that of all previous smartphones I have owned, and this one has been put through much heavier use. There is a slight chip on the bottom of the phone, but it has been in a flip wallet which doesn't protect that part of the phone. One thing I must add about the complaints about screen quality is that this phone is on the RGBG AMOLED matrix. This basically means that every other pixel is red and the others are blue (in diagonal formation). If you put a water droplet on the front of your phone (or a maginifying glass) you can clearly see this. The reason HTC did this was to lengthen the battery life. If you consider buying the One X you will have to consider the fact that the quad-core processor with the enormous LCD "LOOK AT ME" screen that your battery life is limited to hours, even on light usage. And for the Galaxy S III, it is too feeble a phone to buy. Drop it once and it will probably end in tears. Also, the enormous resolution of the display paired with the fact it's front camera is always on looking for your eyes will limit the battery life. Paired with the shabby TouchWiz android layout, this phone is not usable. And before you consider the Xperia S, on light usage when I tested it, this phone went from 75% to nil in around seventy minutes. There are obviously flaws with this phone, but it is less flawed that the more expensive rival phones. If you're worried about the chipping, then just get the phone in grey and buy a black case for it.

Posting this from HTC one s , and i can say only the best about this phone. When you are using it u have the feeling of wielding a finest piece of mobile technology. Better than so popular iPhone 4s and almost as good as HTC one x. I reccomend it to everyone , if you have decided to buy a phone pls buy this one , or at least from HTC one series , its your best choice. Don't take more expensive Samsung's or iPhones , help HTC reach what they deserve. Cheers

Its normal for phones to start having problems afterall not each chip is made perfectly so you might just be that one special one.

One S is very slim and having stunning configurations like 4.3-inch AMOLED Display, 1.7GHz dual core processor, 8 Mp camera, Beats audio etc.One S is also comes with HTCs latest HTC sense 4.

In India ONE s has been launched with older 1.7 chip where as outside it has 1.5 dual core Krait Chip.
I want 1.5Krait version of the handset. Does that come to India ??

Hi
I have been using my HTC One S for a month now and im experiencing problems. I notice that google play laggs when i maneuver from left to right. I have same problem with my photo album. A month ago my mob was running super- No problems. I have tried resetting n updating software, but the problem is there. I truely hope that some one can help me. Looking forward to your reply.

The One X has a tegra 3 chipset, and despite it being quad core, the dual core krait beats it.

HTC one S , blue grey color, i bought it 1 month back, initially it showed bugs, then it automatically updated its software version and now its awsome phne, slimmest phone, with great camera and processor, i m loving the video sound and touch experience. htc one s is best phone, because htc one x and s3 are huge, dont look nice in ur hand, n doest get fit in ya pocket, seems u have placed a brick inside.

I think it's complete BS that the One S only has a dual core cpu and that the One X has a quad core.. that's literally double the performance.. and Theoretically the One X should be the best phone out to date leaving even the Galaxy S3 in the dust. The only thing that the S3 has more of is RAM. And the capability to shoot 1080@60 fps.
