This is good phone,,,i bought from qatar,now price is reduced.. working properly,all functions are ok,This is made in Taiwan..no more problems.
i dont know Htc ,producing from china..is it true ?
any body knows about it ...?

Bought an HTC One V on May 9, 2012 - loved the way it looked, heard a lot about how good it is... and I've been using HTC phones since the last six years - my good old P3400i still works flawlessly... so there was no reason not to make a purchase vis-a-vis the Nokia Lumia.
And then the problems surfaced slowly - the phone would overheat often; the Sync Manager is anything but that and my lappie and the One V are just not talking to each other; the touchscreen response is sloppy and sluggish; and the phone keeps running strange Codes and hanging on me mid-anything! I lived with all of that assuming a firmware upgrade would sort issues out, but here's the next major surprise - I actually found that my sweat started getting into the screen on a hot day - this on the 10th of June, a month after buying the phone - and of course, the device just died on me the very same day.
The upshot was that HTC India's Customer Care arranged for a courier pickup from me to their TVSE Service Centre in Bangalore via TNT on the 12th of June with an assurance that the phone would be sorted out or replaced within 7 days. Today's the 21st and with no sign of a response, I called the Helpline again, only to be assured by Mr Tanveer in the Escalation team that he would get back to me by 5 pm. No call, and I find he's left for the day, while the person handling my case - Vishal has a day off. How convenient. I also get this lady on the other end - a Ms Anjali, who says "I will not listen to you since you are not listening to me" and " I am not going to help you" And this, because I was unwilling to accept from her a status update " there is a service backlog, your device will not be ready until the next ten days or so." The best news is that HTC doesn't even know whether my device has reached their Service Centre!
Have just spoken to a Mr Imran from the HTC Helpline who has assured me a callback within an hour - what I have requested is this - kindly close the issue now, refund my money and take back your device please - I've lost faith in your product, in your people and would rather leave with good memories, after being a HTC fan for six years. I'm not connected to the 'net on the run, can't check mail and cannot get my work done - losing business steadily here... and losing patience ever quicker!
Is someone from HTC listening? Or have you all also lost your Touch/ Sense??? If it's of any use - here's my number - +91 9008303791 and here's my complaint number - 121NC250000018.

I m planning to buy this phone. In india two different types of one v's r available, one made in China other in Taiwan.
So bit confused . I want to know which country made phones are defective.

dont buy this fone, its the worst fone i ever saw...repaired it for almost 6 times but my hope went into vain.... Go for lg l7 in same price range ...i m also planning to get it

Just bought this phone last Friday and i totally love it! The aluminum back cover avoids the phone from being scratched even if you put in the pocket of your jeans. Battery life is also quite good, better than the HTC Chacha and is good for average phone users. Camera is also awesome! i've shown my friends the photos that i've taken and they even think that it is comparable to an SLR! (but that's just exaggerated), though taking photos of people normally appears to be much more yellowish than usual.
it's worth your money!

Let us know if you are able to boot the phone or charge it.

Bought the phone for Rs 17500. Noticed yellow spots on the screen and got the phone replaced. The replacement phone went dead within one month and is currently with the service center. The phone will not be available for another thirty days.
COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

Please Stay away from this phone. I'll strongly suggest you to not purchase this phone, this is faulted set with very cheap hardware, i am running android apps site AppsApk.com and i chose this phone after searching alot but this is my cheapest choice. After using couple of weeks i noticed yellow spots at bottom of the screen corners but now after using 52 days m phone is completely dead. (Not Working Anymore).

I bought this phone on June and it didn't supply with the box shown here and I've heard that it had defective models on April. The box looks like any standard box. I'm afraid that it is also a defective model too. I need reply urgently.

Got my Ove V about a month ago. It died after 3 days. The shop replaced it, and the replacement also died 3 weeks later. This time, shop wants to repair it. Problem is I've lost confidence already.
