This phone is not as good as its technical spec...
Qualcomm definitely must learn from Intel for how to make a fast processor... not only thinking to buy a license to monopoly a GSM chipset...
Touch cube also only wasting a RAM... what a crap !... you even can not modify a list of program there... or at least there should be an option to activate or deactivate this touch cube..

to change ringtones, just tar the fourth tab on your home screen and tap at the ringtone tab. same for sms. if you want custom songs, open up your song file and tap and hold it till a drop down menu pops up then choose set as ringtone. i'm not clear aout custom sms tone though.

Hello Gsmarena readers,
Finally i got a cellphone with much thought and reading all the reviews, i did a lot of research and finally decided to go for HTC Touch Cruise....and let me say it is worth it. This is one of the best phones anyone can have. The best feature Touch flo technology is great to use and amaze ppl when u show your cell phone to others. About battery life i dont think there is any issue with it...cause every pda has this issue.
I have just some questions if someone has answers for it ....how to change the ringtone for sms and alarm, or do i have to install a different software.

Could be a very nice toy... After 4 days WiFi mostly didn't work anymore. Strange messages on screen after reset, bluetooth did't work, sometimes extreme slow, sometimes locks. After 14 days of problems I tried to change it for a working one at the reseller Typhone in Nuth (Netherlands). The only thing they said was that I could take it to Dynafix to get it repaired. I did so 14 days ago and I still don't have a phone!!!

not the battery is the biggest problem. even though it is still a major problem with every other pda (using WM)its the same. the biggest problem in this phone and in Tytn II is the problem with the video drivers! these phones are more expensive than the hp 600 business navigator but have processors that are with 120mHz weaker. on top of this you cant watch films on it... on the hp ypu can!!! yes, they have the touch interface, but this is no the most important. HOW CAN HTC DIDNT INSTALL THE DRIVERS. THESE PHONES ARE GOOD BUT ONLY ON PAPER

Everyone keeps saying that there are other better touch phones out there (example the Xperia). My question is - is the Touch Cruise touch-screen interface the same better or worse than the competition? The cruise has the special TouchFLO, is it a better touch system? Is it worth getting it for that?

Search no more, THE completely multi-functional AND user-friendly PDA-phone has arrived! HTC has the answer to ALL your mobile phone, personal data assistant (organizer), mobile office, music listening, photography, video, and GPS navigation needs, in the Touch Cruise. Okay so the touch screen requires a great deal of heavy thumbing :) if you REALLY want to fiddle about with the "3D" cubic display, and the unit goes through its battery charge so fast that you daren't travel more than a couple of days without the charger (PLEASE HTC, A MUCH LONGER CHARGE TIME BATTERY FOR NEXT X-MAS!!), but one quickly accepts that trade-off for what is without a doubt the STAR PDA-PHONE!
