This brand doesn't exist for me anymore. Don't buy their products. They are slow because do not have needed drivers installed and do not work as expected according to the technical specifications (all the new devices). Technical support is horrible there is no tech support at all. Chinese is Chinese.

Great Phone. But why HTC did not combine the 3G 2100 and 850 on same phone? but instead they offer different version of the phone. HTC forget people do travel and do not want to buy two of the same phone with two different versions.

Hi, does anyone knows how can we set the repeat of the sms alert? I saw the setting under Notifications for Event for New Text Message under "Play sound" below theres a checkbox for "Repeat" but yet its not available for ticking, is there a way to activate it? Thanks.

If you are confused between Touch Cruise and TYTN II..

TYTN II is alot heavier and bulkier than Touch Cruise.
TYTN II doesnt have TouchFlo Technology.
TYTN II has a hardware keyboard and Touch Cruise doesnt.

HTC did a good job with the on screen Keyboard on Touch Cruise. This is coming from a person who relys alot on texting and emailing.

I prefer the Touch Cruise over TYTN II.

Paint Problem as in. There was rumor that paint was peeling.. but i had no problem with it.

Yes. Its bad when the screen is under direct sunlight. have to make sure you change the backlight before u go out.. if you lowered it.

The phone works great and its an eye catcher without a doubt. Working with it for 2 months now. MS calender is worthless. I recommend installing pc-informant immediately.
As I said before, use a protective screen sheet if the silver-coloured buttons if you are afraid of the pealing remark. I am doing so with great feel and sense.
I will not waste any money on SE or Nokia anymore. By the time so called XPERIA X1 hits the market. I am going to se HTC kill it yet by another jewel. I dont buy phones for shells as SE is living on that.

My boss is using it for a few weeks now and he is very happy with the cruise. One of the problem with this device is that sometimes, when it goes into the sleep mode (standby mode), it will take few sec (like 3 sec) to wait up. But, it still better than mine (other model from other company). A number of times, it doesn't even wait up and I have to do soft reset.
I am waiting for the offer as well.

Anyone got a chance to play with this device during the itshow ended last week in Singapore? i didn't get a chance. Almost the two big service providers have temporarily stopped this product on their phone plans as they ran out of stock.

Don't know when they are resuming back with the touch cruise. can't wait to get on my hands on this awesome device.

So, finally inspite of the the HTC driver problems people are recommending this phone right? I've to buy a phone immediately so of the present lot of PDA's this is the best right or what is my other option? Is this the only PDA with GPS and 128 mb of ram out there?? Which is the best site I can order this for a resonable price? I'll be thankfull for any help given.

From Symbian to WM6.0 and from Nokia to HTC. I gave it a loooooong thought before purchasing this phone. Qwerty keyboard was my main concerne since Im a heavy sms sender but couldnt stand the SLOW response from my Nokia E61i processor. I was scared that with the motherload of applications and programs, this would be also a slow phone. Not the case. Problem with the qwerty keyboard? Landscape mode and touch keyboards solves it AND with a dictionary also (like T9) so its quick when you get used to tapping a flat screen instead of a key. Been adding programs and it hasnt passed 53% of ram usage. Task manager helps me end issues in case there would be anyway. Pricey? Yes, 700 bucks with MAPKING (what the hell??) and maps from all Asia available (delete anybody) since I live in S.A. no need. Cant wait to try the GPS (any help with software with S.A. maps???) Phone ringer could be a little louder but phonecalls are clean and loud. Making a call from scrap (just the phone number in your head) could have been a bit easier, from contacts its a piece of cake. Cant get my contacts pics to look as good as the images on the ads...and theyre both heavy and light pics...any help? Any doubts, Ill be glad to help. Take care

It's the best phone I had. Problems with the prosessor with images and with the paint. we compare Iphone and O2 XDA.

                                Touch crouse is better.

i got the HTC Touch Cruise for about 5 weeks. This PHONE IS ABSOLUTE GEM!! I LOVE IT..

1)The Paint rumor is not true. It still is in mint condition. I just got a case yesterday. 5 weeks without a case. no paint coming off.

                                    2)Installed TomTom 6. Works like a charm.

3)Installed Photo Contacts software. Looks beautiful.

4)Battery life is pretty good. Use it very frequently.

5)Typing is not so bad on the onscreen keyboard. I use SMS and email alot. After few days you get used to it. its really not so bad.

6)Service is wonderful. Picks up reception as good as Nokia N95.

                                    7)Push Email is awesome.

8)I am using s 8GB micro SD Cards. works perfectly

9)Screen under sun light sucks. But if you higher the backlight to max. its usable.

                                    10)No ZOOM in camera option.

I WOULD RECOMEND PEOPLE TO GET THIS INSTRUMENT. ITS JUST ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.
