To set-up the internet, you'll have to check with your service provider for the settings. Sometimes, it's possible for them to send the settings to you OTA (over-the-air), and when you get the settings you just click a confirmation button then the settings will be applied to the phone. If you're setting up WiFi to be used at home or at work, then you can take a look at the manual on how to set up a WiFi connection. Hope this helps a little bit.

how do I setup the internet on this? I did the auto-config thing but no internet access for some reason. not sure if it's my SIM card, it's kinda old. Is there a way to configure the internet settings manually? by the way, how much did everyone pay for their Cruise? I got it from addictedtophones.com for $749. seems alright

Well..... selection of the PPC is entirely dependant on your requirements.

        touch - doesn't have 3G
touch dual - doesn't have wifi
touch cruise - has evrything bundled including GPS and a FM radio

other option to decide would be the Kaiser which is bit bulky with a qwerty key board. Has similar features that of cruise, except for the FM radio.

There are plenty of other brands as well like eten. asus, etc....

I am currently using an O2 Atom Pure and I am waiting for a new and better PDA before I let go of my "dying" phone. I heard about HTC Touch Cruise and I have read the reviews on this website and having mixed feelings about it due to varied comments. What do you think... should I get it?

I just got the HTC cruise and it is a fantastic phone just a bit bulky and fragile to handle. If HTC would package the exact same features into the HTC Touch it would be the perfect phone. And if they could also package the same features of the HTC cruise into a small thin pda with a qwerty keyboard (Blackberry look)they will definately capture a huge market share. Now if they also make sure both those devices have amazing battery life that would be the ultimate phones.

I have been eagerly waiting for this phone and really like using HTC pda phones for work. I recieved the Htc cruise a couple of days ago but got rid of it today. Too delicate to use daily, scratches easily, camera lousy, bulky, and with really nothing new in it. To date the best HTC phone I used was the P3600.

Nice phone, but slow, do not know is it because of the processor or the memory is not enough, it is better to wait for Sony X1

You are all familiar with the mess that HTC created to their clients with their latest top priced and high-end PDA devices that are sold without appropriate drivers that will put in use the hardware specified in the device.
                            I`am not mad about that...
HTC marketing or whoever did this at HTC, will sooner or later face the sword of the market laws or they will simply be sued. http://htcclassaction.org/
(So far despite the annoncments, they wont develop any HW driver.)

I`am mad about the top "professional" reviewing sites that we read every day and they have a huge "%" in shaping our opinion
as future consumers when they test new industry devices.

If you check the reviwes on the net for HTC TYTN 2 or HTC Cruiser (700&600eur) you will find out that those devices are
everywhere rated like a next best thing after the Star Trek Tricorder.
The bare fact they don't have hardware drivers (because HTC never made one) noone even finds out or mentions.
And you don't need to be an expert to find that out! They are so under-performing and they are so slow!
Quick comparison of those products with few years older products will show the difference immediately.
Its like someone is testing ATI or NVIDIA latest graphics cards without the drivers and RECOMENDS them as top gear!
What the hell they were testing?!!!
Damn I`am so pissed and so disapointed...

PS (No problems without the driver ??)
                            Some comparisons ...

                            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qbaDLzOU_Y&feature=related

PS. I was hoping so much for this phone... I`am waiting to see what Toshiba G810 Portege smartphone will offer...

I don't know why HTC is so fussy & doesn't want to let the logo peel off (for a high priced device they can laser engrave the HTC logo)

Go and buy a good casing to stop this. This is the only option. If you forget to do so, within one month the paint will peel off.

Has anyone experienced the paint peeling off as described in the "review"? I am planning to buy this phone next week, but the the thought of the paint peeling off quickly worries me.

The spec sheets I saw late last year mentioned an onboard electronic compass. Has that now been left out of the device?
