Hey guys. Can someone tell me how i can change the default typing settings in the text editor from t9 to ABC. Its really annoying with this feature turned on, anyone have any idea as to how i can turn it off? Thank You.

Sound quality on phone is not that good. This phone must be provided with some high defination ear phone. Mind that you are gonna spend more than 20,000 bucks on a cellphone and accordingly sound quality never suits you know. Nokia N95 is having far better things. Both from Imaging & Video along with the sound features. I've used both the phones. No Comparision at all. HTC Sucks! but no doubt HTC is good from looks and touches. Cool outlook and features but of no use.

Got the diamond from tmobile 2 weeks and its been an great experience so far. Straight out of the box, it's not really all that, but with the massive support and optimization software available for it on the web, this handset really comes into its own. i heard about all the problems the other users had had with this phone but the truth is, if you take some time to really customize this phone, it really comes into its own. i know this is something HTC should've done this at the production stage but this may be the fun bit of the phone! XDA developers is one of the best sites for this and to those people who have some concerns on this, just buy it and see for yourself how cool the phone can really be!=).

I've read so many negative comments about the the htc diamond. Are alignment and heat problems really widespread or are they just exclusive to a some users?

The HTC Diamond is the WORST phone I have ever had and Used. They have replaced it twice and the 2nd one is in the shop for repairs and has been for 4 weeks. The battery life is terrible and in fact the phone is not worth having/owning or upgrading too......

Does any one know if the HTC Touch Diamond work's with Mac. ?
Another question is: Does HTC Touch Diamond move slow in the MS Windows Mobile 6.1 system? (I think about move around the system, from etc. SMS to PICTURES)

my Wifi show that my diamond is connected with my router. however, when i use internet explorer try to accesss to google/yahoo, the following message pop up:
"The page cannot be found. Check the name and try again"
i have double check and i am sure i enter the right address www.google.com/www.yahoo.com
i dun understand why this message pop up even thought i have connected wid my router. i am upgraded my router firmware to the newest one!!!!!
Rouer type is : Netgear Rangemax
Channel: 6
Region: United States( i am living in Uk and the router do not let me change the region to UK)
Mode: B and G( i have downgrade from Auto 108mbps)
Security option: WPA-PSK [TKIP]
any1 plz kindly help me wht wrong wid the diamond or router---> the main reason i buy diamond is to connect wifi!! thank!!

The Diamond plays everything and has no problems whatsoever with Standard Definition DVDRip-XviD or DivX. You just need CorePlayer... Sure, it drops a few frames on scenes where the bitrate exceeds 2500kbps, but most of the parts of a movie use lower bitrate, so it happens rarely + you just download a scene release and copy it to your phone without caring about re-encoding.
h.264 is another thing though - everything beyond 900-1000kbps level4.1 plays at 2-3fps... you need to encode them using lower level of compliance (3.0 for example) to make it play smooth.
Diamond's VGA screen is just brilliant for movies. :)

just bought this phone from ebay, any1 know wht should i do witht phone? is used condition and last rom update is:

plz suggest me what to do while i heard that battery and speed of this phone is not that good and require update, but i dun knw where to update and how!!!!

The software of my phone is updated (rom). It did not solve the issue of the screen allignment.

Hi, i am experiencing problems with the allignment of my screen, to such an extent that i can not even type in the password of my phone when opening it. it is not the first time i have this problem. I am unable to press the windows logo on the top left of the screen cos of the realignment issue.Does anyone have a solution to this? I learned many experience similar problems?

mine still half battery...fone last charged 2 days ago...
i installed powermanagement.cab...dont know if it helped and i removed the crappy touchflo as i like it more moderate have made and received calls for about 4hrs in total and all the usual galore
i gues it takes experience in WM to get your enduser satisfaction
