HTC Touch Dual

All I'm going to say is that now HTC have released the new Touch 3G and Viva... I'd reckon they'd bring out the Dual II but with better features and the ones they missed out on this one!
One thing that I tend to do when making calls, is to turn the screen after you've dialed, so that way you don't get any unwanted apps opening up.
If HTC were to make any improvements... I'd say get rid of the cube interface and replace it with a sliding one. It wouldn't be slow to reach one side of the cube and watching the cube spin until it did.
I reckon problems with receiving any signal would partially be due to where the aerial is placed. If you read the manual, the aerial is placed at the bottom of the phone where the keyboard is. When taking calls... our hand will be covering the antenna meaning sometimes the signal will be lost.
I'm thinking of getting this phone and stinking out with it if there are any problems... I'm just waiting til the diamond is available on the "less than £50" to pay per month tarrifs.

Dont buy this phone!
It´s all I have to say!
I already bought Samsung Omnia, That´s a PHONE. No jams, no block-ups, excellent camera, excellente autofocus, great GPS, it´s amazing but everything is great in Omnia , I´ve dumped the Touch Dual to a cousin.

This phone is a stunner to look at and to feel. Its absolute rubbish to use.
It jams and locks when you try to dial it.
I have had two replacements and they have both been useless.

I'm also experiecing problems with my HTC Touch Dual..which at first I thought was a great phone until I discovered it had a problem with reception and a weak signal strength. I reported this to HTC the manufacturers who offered to repair it and changed the System board of the phone but that didn't resolve the problem. I then contacted orange network who gave me another HTC Touch Dual..and guess what? it also has the same problem of weak signal strength...I have a friend who is on T-mobile who also is experiecing the same problem...I am going to call orange again and get them to send me another phone because I only just signed an 18mth contract with them

I hate this phone. I bought one in December 2007 thinking that WOW this is a phone but its not. It´s too damn slow. the camera is a lousy camera. I do some calls and when my ear is touching the screen some software is activated without my demand. I hate it. I am going to smash this against a wall. Im buying HTC diamond or Samsung Omnia. I think I prefer the Omnia

i have a htc touch dual for 8 months now..
everythin about the software is cool except that i am not getting good signal strenght in this phone.. and very frequent call drops..
i have tried the same sim card in other phones and i am getting full signal strengh in other handsets. I have even tried using the ppc with other sim cards but still there is the same problem..
and above that when i gave the phone for getting it repaired the htc people say that they r not able to find out the cause of the problem..
i am thinking of selling this phone off..

extremely disappointed that it doesnt have WiFi...
But i am still considering buying one, since the Australian carrier, Telstra, doesnt seem to offer anything much better. iPhone is a bit overpriced. Windows Mobile 6 would probably pwn iPhone if used for productivity i.e. microsoft office, calendar, organisation etc.

I have had one of these since last december and it is bad! It freeses constantly, it hangs up often when I try to answer calls, it switches the phone off in mid calls... There are so many things bad about this phone that I just can not list them all. It is SLOWWWWW. The camera is bad. The Keyboard is bad. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!

I have my HTC Dual now for 3months
Windows mobile is great especially when syncing with work outlook server. I will never miss a meeting or email again.
The only problem is that the battery does run down fairly quickly.

Keep an eye on the specs of this lil powerfull PPC, it turns out that it has Wi-Fi or atleast has a Wi-Fi antenna thats been disabled by software, the guys over at XDA-Developers are working on a Wi-Fi patch that will enable the antenna,so VERY soon we will have Wi-Fi on our Touch Duals!! :-)
