Thanks Anthony, still unable to download it though. Any advice as to how i can permanently get my start page to be full screen, what i've noticed is that when i access the web via Opera, sometimes it will be full screen (like a mini pc), other times it'll be full screen like a PDA. how can i change this?

Hi Guys
when i try to download the latest ROM from the HTC site it gives me this error "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device" how can i get the latest ROM. if it is not a big file then can somebody just zip it and mail it to me on imranazizmemon@yahoo.com pls.

Z. , 20 May 2009Can somebody pls help with the following in HTC TOUCH HD. ... more(1) The music player is great. Can copy and paste songs to your phone/memory card to any folder and the player reads that tags to sort your music (so you will have to get a tag editor if you have music with no tags or wrong info in the tags). (1.1) you can make and save your play list right on the phone, not just on the PC. (1.2) internal speaker could be louder. But with a good 3rd party headset with a standard 3.5mm jack the sound is great.
(2) Equalizer only works with headset in.
(3) Yes it has a FM radio with RDS
(4) The radio works like a radio at your desk or night stand. It picks up what signal it gets in your area. It’s not using the internet or anything like that.

A legitimate online store would not have a contact e-mail address from g.m.a.i.l. or h.o.t.m.a.i.l or something like that. There e-mail address would end with the company/website name like @deliveriesinc.com look at some of the (Contact us) email addresses of the check price sight on this page and see what I’m talking about. Just for example if the web site was called dan’s cell phones the e-mail would end ....... @dan.com or @danscellphones.com or something like that. Any knock off king could get a g.m.a.i.l or y.a.h.o.o. address. And change it again tomorrow to rip off more people.

Can somebody pls help with the following in HTC TOUCH HD.
1) How is the music player especially sound quality?
2) Does the music player have a equilizer?
3) Does it have a FM radio with RDS?
4) Is the radio tuning country specific ?
5) What is the meaning of RDS associated with FM radios in mobiles?

To copy files to your phone memory card is allot slower than disk drive mode but in sync mode you can.
(1) Access both internal memory and memory card from the phone icon that comes up in “MY COMPUTER”.
(2) If you don't have an internet plan with your phone comp... or a wifi hotspot, you can still use the internet on the phone because it will go online using the internet connection of the PC it is connected to.
(3) If you use Microsoft office and your phone is set to sync with it. Calendar, mail, contacts, task, appointments and reminders will be synced to it. So if you have to factory reset you phone, you will not have to re-enter everything again. You will just have to set back up the sync profile and everything will be put back on the phone again.
(4) Calendar, contacts, task, appointments and reminders can be edited on your pc and it will be sync to the phone the next time you are in sync mode.
(5) You can go into sync mode suing Bluetooth unlike disk drive mode. So the phone does not have to be chained to the PC.

To know if your phone is still connected for syncing, just look at the phone. If you see the double arrows at the top of the screen it’s still connected for syncing. And if the arrows are turning you are syncing data at the moment. By default the phone should not come out of sync mode unless you disconnect, it goes to sleep or you are in sync mode over the Bluetooth and the phone moves too far from the PC. Once in sync mode any changes made on the PC/phone in Microsoft calendar, task, contacts, hot mail and so on, will be will be updated in the other direction a short while after the change is made and you will see the arrows on the phone start to turn again and if it is successful you will see the check again.

worried, 19 May 2009my hats off to you......as usual, you never disappoint. tha... moreThe phone ROM comes with a version of .net, you will not see that one. But any version YOU install for .net or any program, an easy way to know if it was installed successfully is.
(1) Go in settings on the phone (from the start menu) or all settings if you using the diamond 2 cooked rom.
(2) Go to the system tab
(3) Pick Remove Programs
There you would see a list of programs that was successfully installed. (And there is where you can also uninstall them.... if you install some crap you want to get rid of.)

James Singapore, 19 May 2009I don't understand why HTC cannot give us 32 GB storage mem... moreinternal storage is slower and more expensive than memory cards so why would they? IMO memory cards are alot easier and better than internal memory and this phone supports up to 32gig

Anthony, 16 May 2009ok it sounds like you have settings from other pc on your c... moremy hats off to you......as usual, you never disappoint. thanks a lot. really appreciate...... i managed to sync it. .may i know how you would know that .NET has been installed on the phone. do you have to find it in any files in the phone or do you just assume that everything is fine.....Also when you're synced, how long will the phone stay synced on the pc...........i usually get a check mark when my phone syncs with the pc but after a while it disappears...... i don't know if my phone remains synced after that.....

I don't understand why HTC cannot give us 32 GB storage memory when Nokia N97 can. Instead it is giving just MB of it. Is this a problem with the Windows OS or is it just a design limitation?

Imran, 19 May 2009Hi anthony. I live in UAE and when i check for nay updated... moreYou don’t have to use a rom from where you live . That is just so the language and stuff would be right. I used the UK rom because I speak English. It added 1 or two programs that the phone did not come with when I got it, but that’s not a problem in my eye.
If you install the cooked ROM you will still have to change the region to where you are after. So it’s not a big deal. I only said get the original so if you don’t like the cocked one you would have something to go back to. Remember you are over writing the ROM on the phone.
