drhils, 08 May 2009thanks for the reply.................now i,m having problem... moreOk if the version of the program is a .cab file just copy it any where on the phone (i would copy it to the memory card so I don’t have to download it again if i factory reset.) then find the file using file explorer on the phone and lunch it. And it will start to install. When it asks where to install, pick phone memory, if you don’t want it to stop working if you take out or switch your memory card.

You didn't even bother to read the previous opinions and how to overcome those issues by upgrading and updating.. You obviously bought the phone and didn't even care to check for updates or software bug fixes..
The device has windows, you have to help the OS, just like a PC..
If you still own the device you might want to check this:

ok so I got the diamond 2 version 3.3 ROM working on the phone. but I can't tell what it fixed from version 3.1. dose anyone know? If it's not major I'm going back to 3.1because it has RTConfig cooked into the ROM. and that's a good thing if your phone gets stolen and reset.

Antony, 06 May 2009Thanks for your post, is complete and at point. It was very... moreI think I can say you something interesting.
If you are someone who don't know how to install/uninstall/configure a software on windows/macOS/linux, buy some phone that don't have operating system like samsung. You just use the function of the phone and that's all. But the build quality of samsung is behind nokia/sonyerrison/apple/htc/motorola. Beleive me, I am the designer/conception for mobile phone. Or if you can pay more, you buy iphone.
If you know informatics, you'll find that every device can run very well, just need to know how to use/configure it. So you can buy every phone with OS(operating system) like windows mobile phone. The person say you that windows mobile is the worst is the person who know a little about IT.
Windows support the hundred thousand supplier of hardware and software, so it has many bugs, it's very normal. MacOS support a little so it has less bug. I am a programmer too, so bug is life, you can't do something perfect.
Hope this information help you.
Best regards.

I bought the Touch HD in November 2008, after some frustration with the 1st gen Iphone. On the positive side, I've got to say this is one of the most complete handsets available on the market, it has almost everything a smartphone could have: GSM quad band, 3G, wifi, large 3.8” display with WVGA resolution of 480x800 pixels. Take a look at full specifications at: http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_touch_hd-2525.php
However after 6 months of use I have to say the phone disappointed and I don't recommend it for these reasons: 1.- Windows Mobile. Microsoft has to do something about its mobile OS soon, or eventually it'll die, period. I'm not a fan of any particular mobile OS, I've used most of them, and believe me Microsoft is being left behind. It doesn't matter how great the hardware is on the phone, the OS is still slow and it's simply not designed for finger-touch operation. HTC does a good job with its Touch Flow interface, but it's only a mask, in the end it's all about windows mobile 2.- Crappy camera for pictures and video. The camera is just too slow to focus and take photos, and video quality is mediocre. 3.- Video playback. HTC didn't include a propietary video player, so it just relies on Windows Mobile Media Player which, to be honest is even worse than the desktop version. Besides, the only clips that plays (MP4 with H.264) have the potential for good quality but are choppy if they are in high resolution (over 640 pixels wide), needed for this screen. So if you are planning to use this phone as a personal media player (PMP) for watching movies and/or videos because of its big screen, you'll be disappointed. 4.- Resistive Touchscreen, meaning it reacts to pressure rather than touch like the iPhone. If you have used an iphone you'll be wondering if there's something wrong with the screen. Let's face it: most people will consider this phone because they want something like the Iphone. Now I want to clarify that I'm not an Apple fanboy, but to be honest, the user experience is superior on the Iphone. In my opinion, Windows Mobile 6.1 is to blame.
5.- Price is very high. Sure, it comes with almost everything, but you can get better phones for much less.
