Anyone have an idea whether it supports DivX/XviD or not? Seems rather pointless if it has a screen this good and not support these formats

What if HTC didn't put a flash for a reason ?
I saw some pictures taken with the Touch HD, it seems that the pictures come out pretty clear even in dark conditions.

I like this phone. I will not hold my breath becoz of no flash. OTOH, qwerty keypad is good provided it retains the same thickness.

"NO FLASH", cry babies... who cares! i would rather have a qwerty keybord than a flash. what would be used most, the flash or the keypad!!!

It would be hard to ask the offender "do you have a flash, I need to take a picture to file a claim against your insurance". Wouldn't it make more sense to take away the camera to lower price. Since we can't use it 50% of the time.

The complaints about the Touch HD not having a flash for the camera are silly. Firstly, if people want to take decent photos, they should buy a proper camera with 7 or more megapixel resolution, optical zoom lens and flash. The camera in a phone is handy for emergencies and that's all I'd ever use it for. Great if you have a car accident - pull out the phone and take a few shots if you don't have a real camera handy. See something in a shop and you need a pic? Pull out the phone and take a snap to remind yourself of the product when you get home. But if you want to take proper quality photos, forget the phone, use a digital camera. It's that simple.

Just as I was about to order the Touch Pro, I heard about the Touch HD and that PDA phone is the complete solution to my needs. RAM card expansion, full PDA facilities, no keyboard, standard 3.5mm audio jack for my musical work, GPS of course for my TomTom Navigator software and lots of other goodies. It has everything I need to be my mobile office and sync to my desktop every day. I can't wait for this to come out. Who the hell would buy an iPhone with all its deficiencies when the Touch HD is imminent? I'll be waiting with bated breath. By the way, I'm so glad it doesn't have a keyboard. I'm a very proficient Graffiti user and have never seen the need for a keyboard on a PDA. This is definitely my next PDA phone acquisition.

No flash? What was HTC thinking? If the camera is 5 megapixels it shouldn't go to waste!

Does ayone has experience with the handwriting recognition of HTC?
Can you really write e-mails and calendar apointments with this, or only notes?
