im from canada as well, but to be honest, i never like getting phones with dealerships in the first place, because they lock some of the features, so you dont get to use ALL the features they mention in the specs sheet. for instance, with locked phones from dealerships, you'll most likely not be able to put custom mp3 ringtones on.
and if you really want to get these phones, you could consider going to asian cellphone stores, as they usually import phones into the country and sell them as "unlocked". you can ensure that you get the real one, but they do come at a hefty price

Beware ! It is HTC, you may find difficulty in finding support from them as being experienced by score of users/buyers.

How can it be better than omnia? It CANNOT write 640*480 video like omnia and with 5MP camera it SHOULD be capable of that, it has not got xenon flash in fact it HASN'T GOT EVEN FLASH!, it has not even 8 or 16 GB internal memory like omnia, it has the same not well functionable not very user friendly TouchFLO system of diamond and pro and the same processor with them slower than other phones and omnia and 1.3 s.a.r value which all can understand how much your head gets fried while omnia has only 0.39 for use at head. SO HOW CAN IT BE BETTER? And omnia in better price also. Come on think first. It's far from beeing better. Very far.

Don't you think it's suspicious and outrageous that HTC finally decided to implement a 3.5 inch output jack on the phone. At last we have headphone flexibility! I only wish they could have done the same for the Touch Pro.

i tink its beter than omnia,but why??becuse its HTC brand and have a beter LCD size with beter resolation& talk time & beter design,biger Rom And Ram,i love this phone.

people this phone has a tv out so get a bluetooth keyboard and plus the phone to the tv
it becomes a pc lol qwerty keyboard on a big screen like this is good even without the bluetooth keyboard
best phone in the world overall

Looks like a sweet phone, my only concern is about video recording.
It seems that windows mobile devices have a low fps in VGA mode. Is this phone the answer ?
VGA@30fps or another VGA@15fps ?

This phone is one the best touch screen device available actually... Very fast and with WM not symbian as symbian is simplified and limited and WM is for the pros....
