Fring works on any smartphone as long it has symbian or windows mobile operating system. It works fine and indeed it is easy to use and connect. I use it on my Nokia E65. TYTNII do not need Fring as Skype works perfect, However to be honest, I have it on my TYTN too, do not use it often, but it works perfect

Vince, it is acceptable.
in normal use ( internet, e-mail...) 1.5 days. use it as mobile only...maybe 3 days (dunno that is I always connect to read mail )

yes you can text without the keyboard there is the option to use the on screen keyboard. Or my favorite is the transcriber. You just write on the screen like you would on a piece of paper.

FOR ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE WITH SKYPE, MSN MESSENGER OR MOST OTHER CHAT OR VOIP CLIENTS!!! I have come across a very good small file size program called FRING. This works as a client for all your VOIP (via SIP) and chat clients in one easy access contact list. Auto access to 3G or WiFi and either can be used for calls or messages!! Download from fring.com. ENJOY!!
PS Seems like it will work on any smartphone, even non skype/Voip enabled so let ur friends know and maybe repost this before it goes way down the list IF u like what u find!!!! :D

but yes, this ph0ne(al0ng wid 0ther HTC'S) suffer fr the lack 0f pr0per 'vide0 drivers' s0 its 0nly actually perf0rming @ a FRACTI0N 0f its capabilities.... nevertheless, as 0f n0w, its 'vide0' functi0ns are VERY DECENT i can watch y0utube vids(yay!) with n0 n0ticeable 'lag' & i can run my NES, SNES, GBA emus' @ pretty g00d framerates.
just imagine if the drivers fer this badb0y wuz actually fixed..........

with this unit can u text with out using the keyboard?? and if so is it like a normal 123 456 789 0 or is it like a keyboard style touch like the iphone?

Seriously folks after this device you only really need VGA. Go HTC !!!!

I have TyTN II; but few problems: 1. Star (*) and hash (#) is giving trouble with GSM service provider. It gives message as 'FAILED". Can anyone advise/guide me to rectify this problem? 2. Copilot not working even the set up and initial downloading etc had gone through very well. Any advise?

its a louzy phone, dont ever buy it.. it has bad response time.. too slow phone, also once its fallen from hand god help, the phone body is too weak. if u can keep it in showcase then buy this phone otherwise for daily use its tooo delicate

i don;t know why the program WorldCard Mobile cannot be found in my TytnII. I am very frustrated. how can i get this featured program for free since this should have come with it.

This phone is brilliant ! Struggled with bluetooth a bit but got a patch from the HTC website that fixed all the problems ! Other than that it's got everything you need...I love it ! It's definitely worth going for !
