Sorry for a double post.
To those of you who say that it is missing 3D acceleration HARDWARE - I am sorry, but you are wrong. As the latest version of CorePlayer shows, it is there and it is enabled. HTC deliberately decided not to put in the drivers into a $1000+ device. Qualcomm data sheets suggested and HTC promised rich multimedia experience, and they failed to deliver them. Seriously, you would not expect their top of the line communicator to lack those basic things! It is like buying a V12 Ferrari and being able to use only half the cylinders!

Guys, do not believe the performance ratings here. The phone is an ultimate lemon - HTC have decided to cut back on costs by not including video drivers resulting in laggy GUI, unusable camera, overheating and shorter battery time.
I can compare as I have owned many PDAs and this thing is even slower than my old h2210! You couldve picked up a much better device for a much lower cost.

it is heavy no doubt! The features do make up for weight. Its an award winning phone!
Bear in mind, it takes a fully functional brain to use (you don't have to be a rocket scientist) BUT its not the phone you wanna carry out on a sat night, paryting. thats when your nokia 1100 comes in.
MON - FRI its the next best thing to having a sexy, hot blonde secretary in your pocket! (she would be heavier to carry around) :)

You should try Softmaker Office It's the only Desktop-Class Office Suite for any platform and fortunately the TyTN II (WM6 Professional) has the capabilities to run the application to it's full.

this is an outstanding phone with every feature for the business man on the go. It is your mobile office and also acts as your entertainment when we have our load shedding in SA. i can't really say it has any cons beside sometimes you would lose some contact details while using activesync (which is not the phones fault). A great phone, i plan on keeping this one for the entire 2 years that i am suppose to.

What's that guy going on about??!The TyTN II preforms just as well,if not better than any other device as a phone. As has been mentioned numerous times,it's the lack of 3d3 hardware acceleration that's the problem.

poor as a phone and poor as a PDA??????????
I don't agree with you. This probably the best Pocket PC available in the market. Ofcourse I agree it lacks the GDI drivers. But except for that it is excellent and fully packed device with almost all features.
Call quality is superb. Better than Nokia N95

The TYTN II....what can I say.....CAUTION.
I have ahd this device now for less than a week and have a list of issues a couple of pages long. Most of my complaints are simply poor design features of the software which HTC just dismisses and says I'll have to live with.
Poor as a phone and poor as a PDA.

Getting a demo of the Stellar at the o2 outlet won't show you it's true capabilities.Owning a PPC is all about how you customize the device to suit your needs. Many people prefer Nokia's/SE etc because they preform better 'out of the box' little do they know what pocket pc's are really capable of...
