It doesn’t matter what your point is. I've already stated. Qualcomm is very capable of pumping out fast graphic (Spb Graphics index 4459.9 page 2 here). You can compare that with other index you can find to see how fast that number is. The short answer is still no even with 1840 mAh battery as it will weight down the unit. You'll need to do some research as I am not in an educational mood. A good place to start is HTC P3600 with 2200 mAh battery compare that number to 150g with the standard battery. That will give you an idea on how things work. BTW, 30g is on the conservative side. If HTC go with your suggestion with current battery technology, every guy will be wearing man purse. Who want to see your pants hang on one side.

Doe anybody know if tomtom navigator 6 is inclused in package for free? ( Netherlands)
Or is it just a trial and you have to pay later??
Is Tytn 2 practical on the go for listening to music? Does the sound quality compare with SE walkman range? Does it support A2DP??

The company I am employed with bought 20 units(Vario III) from T-Mobile UK.We have been pleasantly surprised by the reception the vario III picks up.Anyone who is in residence in the UK will no doubt be aware that T-Mobile are not the best when it comes to coverage so I'd have to conclude this devices radio is of a high standard.

I've owned the new TyTN II now for 5 weeks and it is 10 out of 10 APART from the phone reception is terrible. Not sure whether it's a problem with my specific unit or whether this is a downside but in areas where I used to have great reception, now I am resorting to getting voicemails... Thought I would make everyone aware. AW

High Resolution displays really suck the battery.Consider having a heavier unit and still having to charge twice!Ask any jasjar power user how long the 1620 mAh lasts..until battery technology improves we will have to make sacrifices.

Mr 4pJ$ I really don't want to be drawn in to a protracted discussion on this matter but you miss the point entirely! Let me clarify. Here we go: since the Qualcomm processor is supposed to be very capable and it is claimed it can comfortably handle VGA res; and since batteries of 1840mAh are available, HTC should have implemented VGA res in TyTN II. The benefits are far clearer tables, charts, graphs, images and text. Your telling us because of a spurious estimate of yours of an increase of 30g in weight it should not be done. That is quite ridiculous. I suggest you buy some trousers with a bigger pair of pockets!

Look at how efficient M700's battery is. It requires 200 more mAh to maintain the same performance as tytn2. It's obvious they are using different quality parts. In 910c case, it's not an exception like you said. It's call different form factor. More mAh equal to more weight is not a rule. It's a fact. Easiest example is high capacity battery vs standard battery. And yes, i-Mate does weight more than HTC even though you didn’t bother to point it out. Actually yes, there is something wrong with daily charging no matter where you live. In fact, I am one of the rarity who has 2 batteries for phone. Eventually there will be ~2000 mAh TyTN 2 offer by 3rd party ebay seller. Take 190g as base with high capacity battery, my guess is `220g. That’s already much higher than most people comport zone would be.

4pJ$, I must first of all state that I have great respect for HTC. They have made valuable contributions toward mobile device evolution. Yet, I disagree with their decision to exclude VGA res in TyTN II. Your rule that more mAh equates to more weight has so many exceptions that it cannot be considered a rule at all! For example Eten M700 has a more powerful battery by nearly 200mAh and yet it is a lighter device. HP iPAQ 910c has 1840mAh but weighs only 146g. Look, in the year 2007 you can definitely place a 1840mAh battery in TyTN II. The HP iPAQ 910c has successfully done that in a dimensionally smaller device without compromising weight. Furthermore the vast majority do not live in the forest. There is access to electricity. There is nothing wrong with daily charging.

I've had many a pda from symbian uiq p900,p910 to WM o2 executive and this unit is simply head and shoulders above any of them.Yep p900,p910 are old devices but still all things considered the kaiser is definitely on a different level.WM handhelds usually need a heck of amount of registry tweaks to get them preforming smoothly but this excellent piece of kit works nearly as it should. If the backlight going off during a call,or sensitivity of the touchscreen bother you then Reg tweaks can be found at xda-developers.com.

What i-Mate and Eten proof is, VGA res put a strain on weight and the battery. It’s a known fact higher mAh equal to heavier weight. HTC is already too heavy for people without a purse. Some of the users with common sense already mention, they would rather wait for the battery technology improve. Smaller companies need an edge to sell their product. Works on most users who don’t read between the line.

to mJZx: HTC TyTN II is a business device; Nokia N95 is a multimedia phone with a good screen & camera (for the cellphone) - more for the girls :). Each device has a different market.

Bw@e it is like you are allergic to Nokia N95. This device is not for business. It is targeting multimedia so the comparison is somewhat misplaced. Furthermore in the same way that TyTN II improved upon the original TyTN; THE N95 8GB and N95-3 have improved on the N95. I will bet you £100000 that the N95 8GB will outsell TyTN II. Meditate over this and ask yourself the reasons why this is so. I feel that TyTN II is a competent device but it cannot be considered as one of the best ever made because at the time of its introduction it did not meet contemporary standards. TyTN II cannot ignore VGA res and claim to be a king. Windows mobile as far back as 2004 made it possible for PPCs to support VGA res and still in 2007 it is not implemented.

The TyTN II form factor can take a larger battery. Look at structurally similar devices with similar features. Eten M700 has a 1530mAh battery. I-mate Ultimate 9502 has a 1620mAh battery. Yet TyTN II is stuck on 1350mAh which is the same capacity as the first TyTN. It is clear that HTC has not given enough effort into improving battery capacity. This is not funny because it has now compromised implementation of a modern VGA screen.
Note that Skype and Slingbox are not used continuously whereas a VGA screen will be. Its toll on a processor would therefore be additional to any feature running. I-mate Ultimate 9502 will prove whether this Qualcomm can or cannot perform.

No such thing as a perfect cell..tytn II has qvga res and that's really the only failing ok perhaps should have had vga VR but look at other cells-n95 with it's crummy wi-fi antenna, lousy gps, useless for multitasking,no touchscreen, limited os,super weak battery, loose sliders, peeling paint and a tonne of other problems.Kaiser is one of the best devices ever made.
