I was astounded to see that the recently announced HP iPAQ 910c has an astounding battery capacity of 1840mAh!! Yet the screen is only 2.4 inches, QVGA res and without GPS. Shouldn't this battery have been placed in TyTN II since it has more features?? Secondly the imminent Eten M800 certainly has VGA res and a SiRF Star III GPS chipset but for some inexplicable reason they only put 64MB RAM in it! I guess there are more questions than answers!

This is one brilliant pda phone.I opted to buy a generic HTC TyTN II so all the features are there.I'm really amazed at how responsive the device is.GPS on this baby is super, actually I don't need my dedicated in-car unit anymore! It's fully loaded with all the treasures of owning a cell with an OS.I don't know how people can mention this pocket rocket in the same breath as n95.My colleagues n95 closes applications by itself, can't multitask and when he uses opera mini it keeps rebooting!

Here is another reason to get HTC than any other brand. Not because of HTC might offer an upgrade possibility but because the uber folks at xda-developers.com I highly doubt I am going to get free upgrade for my Gigabyte but it was useful while it last.

Yes I would love a high resolution screen but NOT until battery technology improves.

There is nothing silly about VGA screens. It is tomorrow's technology. The benefits are clearer representation of graphs, tables, charts, images and text. The challenge is to design and manufacture a battery that is powerful and small enough to fit into HTC TyTN form factor and couple it with a capable processor. Just because it is a difficult challenge does not mean it should be abandoned. We would never have reached the moon with your negative attitude. I have the hope that one day soon HTC will give us a fabulous 2.8 inch device with VGA res. Other companies are already taking up the challenge: i-mate, Gigabyte, Toshiba and Eten. Are you also calling them silly??

All this talk of VGA screens is rather silly. If a compact ppc such as the TYTN II had a high resolution screen the battery would last a few hours. What use is that vga screen when the battery is dead?HTC made the correct decisions.

The i-mate JAMA 201(WM6) has VGA resolution.I was economical wth E90 faults you say?

Hardware on E90 is very good in deed.My hardware complains only reffer to stiff keyboard, VERY slow GPS and low quality camera.Old S60 phones like Nokia 6600 have the same programs / functions as in E90, their is almostwith almost no change. For my money, this is yesterday technology. Can you indentify at least one program / function which existed in 9300i and which was improved in E90 ?From what I have seen, all of them have been downgraded, but I might be wrong...!

Oh nearly forgot we are in the TyTN II arena!Yes TyTN II has a fab Qualcomm 400mhz dual CPU

Replying to the rather garrulous list of E90 faults a few posts ago: "only basic computer" is a nebulous statement that is obviously subjective. Scheduled SMS and fax have software solutions. " Browser cannot open a link in a new window " is a falsehood. "Phone does not show the number of the caller " another falsehood. " Stiff keyboard;" well most professional reviewers enjoyed the keyboard. Your list of faults is economical with the truth. In fact many of the statements are plain wrong!

Quoting Pjox's comment on TyTN II's screen: " yeah it's rubbish but that's life." At last an admission of fallibility! Let me assure you that my intentions are honourable. I only want improvements so that we can all enjoy. I am not a brand man. I will buy from any manufacturer as long as the device has the features I desire and operates reliably. VGA res screens is tomorrows today and I feel let down that HTC did not take it seriously. Incidentally HTC Universal has a 3.6 inch screen. I was highlighting sub 3 inch WM6 phones. There is only one phone that has WM6, a sub 3 inch screen, full QWERTY, and VGA res. It is the Eten M800. Check it out- http://www.pdab.net/index.php?m=specs&id=878

Grrr Grrr Grrr .He's mentioned colors pallette 7times!Nokia n series look great on paper but when you actually use them, well that's a different story.I need to get remote access to my pc and with n series symbian the applications were so damn bad that all I could do was drop and drag a few files!Go to msmobiles and read the article where even the finns were saying symbian was pathetic for power users.By mentioning a nokia in almost all his posts I think he has popped pills and somehow thinks he is in n95 user opinions

For your information the HTC Universal has VGA resolution screen and a fabulous hardware qwerty keyboard.Taking up your other point about market share, yes nokia make popular phones for the ordinary man.HTC has a niche segment and in this area the TYTN II is doing rather well.PS I notice you didn't respond to e90 failures so back to n95 again lol

Superb stereo speakers?Erm that is a gimmick!I suggest you find out exactly what stereo is before you make silly comments.I can give a detailed explanation so feel free to ask..My occupation is in acoustics.Use a headset my friend. Now to screens,we all know the TYTN II screen has the SAME resolution as the n95 ,yeah it's rubbish but hey that's life.Since YOU are hell bent on promoting n95 symbian on the htc boards lets have a like for like comparison..I'll do the TYTN II screenshots and you do the n95..EASY WINNER..

WM6 cannot be that great. A system that shakes and trembles everytime somebody asks why is the colour palette so low is definitely NOT great. The human retina can differentiate many millions of colours and yet WM6 is incapable of giving true-life vivid colour representation. They have to address this issue and not run away from an obvious inadequacy.
Those of you who list reasons why TyTN II betters N95 or even E90 are wasting your time! There are crucial personal reasons many will choose the Nokias everytime. Reasons such as superb camcording, superb stereo speakers, a more user friendly interface, a more lively colourful screen that one can see even in bright sunlight etc. Look at the world sales of N95. TyTN will never match it and has to respect the wide appeal of the device. TyTN has not succeeded as a laptop replacement whereas N95 has succeeded as a multimedia device. Take a look at N95's camcording and compare it to TyTN's... You will have to laugh!
There is some good news. Eten are about to release the M800. It will be the first WM6 device that has a sub 3 inch screen, full QWERTY and wait for it... vivid VGA res. They have beat TyTN to the punch!!
