Very good device in terms of battery performance ,processor,ram,6inch full HD screen....awesome
Better opt for 32 gb rom / 3gb ram version(dual sim version).

Eisley, 15 Sep 2015Is yours losing from 5 to 8% of battery life over night let... moreCouple of days back I disconnect my mate7 from charging around 9pm and in the morning around 7am the battery balance was 95%.
So in 10 hrs my fone just consumed only 5% in idle mode.
I also have samsung A8 and I have already compared battery consumption between two devices and I found that mate 7 is way better.
After heavy usage of 24 hrs to 36 hrs(with 3g/WiFi continues on and moderate gaming/utube) I have to charge it again.
Anyways it's only 1 month that I have been using mate7 so obviously I have no great idea that how my mate7 will perform after a decent period of time.
My Mate 7 details.
Model# huawei MT7-TL10.
Android version # 4.4.2
EMUI # 3.0
Build version # MT7-TL10V100R001C00B128.
Don't do factory reset again rather better to visit authorise service centre because frequent factory reset won't work for battery consumption related issues.

Eisley, 15 Sep 2015Is yours losing from 5 to 8% of battery life over night let... moreurs is losinh that much, its not the device that is having some problems. Its user error coz mine works almost perfect and doesn't loose that much battery in idle.

Hey guys ,,, I am going to buy a new smart phone ,, but i am so confused between Huawei ascend Mate7 & Huawei P8 ....... I am so afraid of the battery of P8 because if it's low durability ( 2680 mAh) although it's amazing features ,,, besides the battery of the Mate7 ( 4100 mAh ) which is much more higher in durability than the P8 .,,,
please help me taking the best decision ,,, thanks :)

Check how many apps ur device is allowing to run in ... moreIs yours losing from 5 to 8% of battery life over night letting it idle? Wow man, that sounds quite wrong. My other smartphones don't lose anything! For example, my LG G3 stays 100% for like 15 hours or more. (I don't use it anymore since I'm testing my Mate 7). Isn't that worrying for you?
Anyway, my mate 7 is still losing power over night, this time it lost 7% in more or less 4 hours over night.
This is very very wrong. And yes, I have everything from Huawei's battery saving configuration set to save battery life. No apps in the background is allowed, etc.
Please good mate 7 users, help me out.
Would you please share how battery life is doing these latter days after a year or so of usage? That would be very helpful.
Would you like to send me the system details of it to compare with mine?
Also, do you know of battery drain over night on the Mate 7? And it gives no more of 4.20 hours in PC Mark battery test whereas my LG G3 gives 5.17 hours!
There's something wrong with my Mate and I would like everyone's help, please.

My friend send two mate 7 to his home country. This Mate 7 is so amazing that i also purchase one for my self after using my friends Mate 7 for couple of hours. I shifted from Samsung to Huawei now. Its as good as I phone 6 or other very expensive alternatives offer by Samsung. I will give 10 on 10 to this model.

For me only 5-8% battery usually drops over a period of night in idle mode.
Well do 1 thing , go to setting > protected apps (do not allow even single app to run in back ground after the screen goes off)
Just try dat ....I hope the things would be better than the present situation.

MH, 13 Sep 2015I just had this phone today and I can say that I'm amazed a... moreHello. Please try something like I did. Charge it fully at bed time then let it idle the whole night, then in the morning check see how much battery has drained.
My case is described below. I hope you and everyone helps with this testing so I can compare and know if my device's battery is faulty.

I just had this phone today and I can say that I'm amazed at how it looks and performs. Even though this phone has been released in September 2014, its performance is still in par with other similar phones that were released this year.
For those people who are choosing between Mate7, Note4, Note3, G3, G4, Z3, and Z3 Compact make sure to research all your choices. I was choosing among Mate7, Note4, and G4 and ended up getting this Mate7.
Will post more updates with my new Mate7 in a days.

Hello Mate 7 users. I have a problem with my unit. Yesterday night I charged it fully and left it completely idle all night, I did not touch it. Then at 9 am I checked and battery was 55%!!!!!
What's wrong? I did a factory reset a day ago. This was not like that. It has some 10 months of usage.
I checked battery stats and saw the drainers on top were: Android OS 24% , Phone idle 20%, Android System 16%, Cell standby 14%, wifi 4% only, System UI 2% only.
The fact that battery went from 100 to 55% in a little more than 10 hours with no usage at all is frightening!
Please give me some advice on what to do. Some link to some thread about it?
The theme on is Magazines, BTW. But the changing of the wallpapers was stopped before.
Can you suggest me some battery fix?
My unit is running on 4.4.2, not rooted, all stock.
