Huawei Mate 10 Pro scores 97 on DxO test

DxO has been working overtime of last, bringing a heap of new photo tests - the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus - 94, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 - 94 - and finally the Google Pixel 2, which received the highest ever compound score for a phone - 98.

And now we have a detailed test of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

If all you care about is the overall score - the Mate 10 Pro was awarded a 97 - but for those of you that want a more detailed breakdown, DXO Labs has you covered.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro received a 100 for its photo performance and 91 for video. For stills the Huawei Mate 10 Pro gets five stars for its good detail preservation and low noise levels, wide dynamic range and commendable detail at 2x zoom. DxO likes the Mate 10 Pro's Wide aperture mode too, deeming it a touch better than the iPhone 8 Plus's Portrait Mode.

For video the Huawei Mate 10 Pro received praise for its fast and accurate autofocus.

Such a beautiful phone. I wish this could be more mainstream in the USA. I know it would catch on. It's beautiful and a beast.
