slow video calls, stops every 3 seconds for one second, losing voice also. phone is total rubbish, it was replaced by the store and did same thing. 4 other phones have no problem with the video calling when they are used, so dont blame thr connection,,dont blame the other end, dont blame me, JUST DONT BUY IT, ITS CRAP

After neearly a week usage I would say - even this is one of the cheapest verson of Huawei phones- you can't really feel the difference between this and top class phones. I had before find x2pro, google6 pro, find x5, and now I m a bit short so bought this, and just perform the same as the others. I had to realise soend 8-900£ or even more on a phone is just insane, and make no sense at all. Unless money doesn't matter for you.

The Honor 50 is good, but also look at other devices like Galaxy a52s, a53, realme, don't limit your choices to just 2 brands.

I bought yesterday my nova 9 2nd hand. Paid 170£ for a 4 months old phone. Since yesterday I've managed to download all Google app what I used on my previous devices(apart grom my banking app),

The good thing about the new Huawei phones is that their prices decrease a lot in a short time due to the missing google services. For example you can find the Nova 9 for 200-250€ in Germany. Even the Huawei P50 Pro is available for 550-700€. Both of them have good CPUs: SD778G and SS888 respectively. So if you can live with a phone without Google Services, they are a good option. If you are scared of Huawei phones spying on you then you shouldn't buy any chinese phones. At least Google system apps will not be able to spy and collect your data when you use a Huawei phone.

According to StatCounter.com at... moreI always recommend the Honor phones over Huawei's nowadays.
But I want to point out that in the global market, they released Emui 12 instead of Harmony OS, also Emui 12 and Harmony OS are still based on android, so there is a possibility that the Stat includes them both in the android number. Still with this I don't think the marketshare will be huge, most average people already moved from Huawei to another brand by now.

Huawei users(that use huawei phones without GMS) nowadays are just a minority of what it once was (when phones had GMS).
Without google most people don't want to buy a Huawei its just a fact, one of my friends who is a average consumer, got a p40 lite, and got rid of it in less than 2 moths because of the lack of google.
During p20 and p30 days everyone talked about Huawei, in the global tech community, but if you look at it now, they barely talk about huawei.
It's sad becouse Huawei was a big innovator in phone cameras and etc, but it's just what it is, I still love Huawei phones, even without GMS (Emui is the only android skin I enjoy using), but most people want google.

If you don't need google apps, this phone is pretty decent.
But instead of getting the nova 9, I recommend getting the Honor 50, same phone but with google services.

If you need Google apps stay away from this phone, better to get a Xiaomi, Realme or Samsung.
If you can live without google (that includes Youtube app) this phone is pretty nice.
Also if you want the Nova 9 but with google services, you can get the Honor 50, same phone but with google.
