About stabilization, gimbal works better if no stabilization applied into the phone, as it can fully utilized. Gimbals + EIS on phone can create errors & confusion. But it will be a lot better if all smartphone company can make stabilization option to be on or off, which is currently most of it lack of.

No objection about Mi 10 Ultra, but u can get S20 over S21 as the camera quality are no difference.

    I am quite disappointed with p40 pro camera actually. The colors are over saturated hence inaccurate. Especially the blues and purples. I bought this phone despite no Google because dxomark gave high ranking to its camera. I don't know why they didn't realise this problem. I got this phone for taking pics and videos of gemstones. And its very important for me to get the accurate color.
    Yes by using pro camera and manually adjusting white balance i can get the saturation right but the auto white balance should have been better. My old p9 lite was actually better at AWB then this.
    Anyways i spent really high amount to buy it so I will have to live with it for a while.

I saw that most of the problems on Mi 11 can be fixed with software updates but I will wait until it is property tested, I never buy phones the moment they come out or pre order. Strange that they did that and it's stupid also since I don't use gimbals but what can you do ... Anyway Mi 10 Ultra or S21 plus even if it is not the as it should supposed to be.

In videos, Huawei only pixel binned at 1080p 30fps mode (2.44 pixel size). Huawei also disable stabilization in 60fps mode both in 1080p & 4K (likely an option for people to use gimbal on that mode).

        If u care so much about videography without any much hassle, I suggest an iPhone. Not the best stabilization, not the best when it comes to DOF (Huawei superior because bigger sensor) but near to none jittery both in daylight & lowlight. Even older iPhone 11 good on that regards. That said, Mi 10 Ultra still a great option.

Well, I guess he is not a pro like I thought he is and I disagree with him saying that the S21 Ultra has the best when even I, an amateur, can see that it is oversharpening. True about the boke he even admited he didn't turned it on and I don't know why he didn't turned it on and take another one. About night mode turned on when taking videos I have no idea but the way he took the video, the quality was very bad. If they get Google back, they will become number 1 again. For the moment, my attention goes to Mi 10 Ultra. My P40 Pro is still in it's box collecting dust.

            First, FF video. He doesnt use the normal wide FL, which is on that format stabilizer are enabled, and will be fair with other 2 FL (with wider versatility). He also doesnt mention how good its DR is on that comparison.

            Second, FF portrait. He doesnt turn on the 'bokeh' mode into circle, therefore no bokeh appear on Mate.

            Third, yes stability & wider FL not the best using UWA, but he doesnt mention that Mate has the biggest sensor & better quality.

            Fourth, is he using Night Mode all the time when comparing low lights? (lots of reviewer does). Mate doesnt need to use Night Mode and still beat others.

            Finally, all S21 Ultra does are oversharpen things, yet he's saying its the most details.

            He maybe good at comparing smartphone camera, but lack of knowledge about actual camera does, which what Huawei + Leica camera are aim at. Mi 10 Ultra is great though, same as my first initial thought.

            And about Mi 11 u've talked earlier, currently its suffer from tons of throttling and heat issue (lots of reviewer confirms about it). And in my opinion, Mi 10 Ultra camera are a lot better than Mi 11 camera setup.

Hardware used are very good, big s... moreYou can search the comparison made by Chris from Tech tablets and you will see that Mi 10 Ultra took over Mate 40 Pro in some conditions. I am not a pro but he is. Maybe for you video doesn't matter but for most of us it does a lot. But like you said to each it's own. Considering the huge performance Xiaomi has gained with photo and video, Huawei phones will go down even more. But remains to be seen :)

Hardware used are very good, big sensor from UWA, main & telephoto, a first time for Xiaomi. But not the rest. Like I said, thats videography only, which is not my genre. Photography wise, Huawei + Leica image algorithm, great quality lens are the one I chose. Really satisfied.

                To each its own.

I know it's about the indoors one and even if it doesn't matter for some, it matters to me. I currently using a Poco X3 and it's a very good for the price I paid and I am waiting for Mi 11 to come to Europe or I will import Mi 10 Ultra. Xiaomi is not what it was in the past anymore and in a video comparison it bested Mate 40 Pro.

                    And guess what? Yesterday I received ota update (December security patch - .168) EMUI 11 with new camera app updated. Seems like the quality now has been fixed! Pheww I have no complains now.

                    Xiaomi phones? Nahhh not my kind of device. Love image processing by Huawei more, in terms of photography (BM3D tech, Super Res algorithm between focal length). But gotta say, the only Xiaomi that got me interested are Mi 10 Ultra.

It seems that Huawei doesn't know and never did how to make their phones take good video quality. I am going to switch to Xiaomi since they reached an amazing performance with their phones, especially with Mi 10 Ultra. Now that Xiaomi has passed them, their is no need to buy and struggle with a Huawei phone.

                          Anyway, I already update to EMUI 11. The only decrease quality that I'm aware of is when using FF video in indoor/low light. Its like 70% worse lol. Its not affecting me much as I'm using it mainly more into photography (rear cams). And on that regards, I think EMUI 11 has much better quality, no more magenta color cast in certain lighting condition. So I'm all good.

                              Camera quality decreasing is normal for almost all brands. I used and still using Samsung phones and that was always the case. Bought p40 pro last year. Night mode is much worse than it was before.
