I purchased it and the seller gave me with it 4 GB micro SD that put me in a lot of problem for it was not detecting it or in other words it does not cope with it; fault of the seller. I tried with it now 2 GB memory and works normal. Anyhow, I wish it should have worked with it like many other Nokia mobile phones do. Secondly, I feel trouble now with GPS SW and Maps for the gulf countries. Thirdly it doesnt play real format material. Irshad

Yep I installed TomTom and it worked fine with the internal GPS on the 8502. Took me a while to realise I had to manually turn on the GPS in the connection manager first tho...

Have been using the I-Mate 9502 for 2 days now.
Connected to the Telstra nextG network here in Australia.
            The verdict thus far:
            A little beauty!!
Sitting here on our lovely Bondi Beach, getting to know the product & i can't take my eyes of this beauty & i dont mean the two legged types this time.
Not since the old SE p910i has i feel, something as good as this thing come along.
            good work I-mate.

You can use google maps cab download. www.google.co.uk/m then go to 'more' and then from there. Just make sure you're on an unlimited data plan!

Try it, slim. you can always uninstall it.
I haven't seen 16GB tested but here is proof that 8GB SDHC Cards work:

what I understand is 777 breaks IE browsing on WiFi, but other browsers [like Opera] work OK and all other connections work OK.

V8Dave, thanks alot for the review. I am really looking forward to buying this phone. I do not understand why you described the screen as not true VGA but only quasi-VGA. Is it not 480*640 pixels?? Please elucidate.

Anyone managed to get GPS to work?

I have tried different ports but no data?

What did you use to test it?

I just got my 9502 at the weekend and I have to say I am well pleased with it. The speed is excellent compared to my old HTC Tytn II. Even with the same processor and speed, the 9502 is much smoother. Switching from Portrait to Landscape is much quicker. Keyboard is a bit smaller than the HTC and will take me some time to get used to it, but otherwise the build quality feels good.
The VGA display is excellent but as is usual with most Windows Mobile PDA's is a quasi-qvga and not a true VGA but saying that, text and graphics a much smoother on it overall. Battery life seems pretty good compared to my old HTC and I gave some 25-35% more at the end of the day with the same usage pattern.
If you are thinking of buying go get one, you won't be disappointed.

No gps navigation you say, but if I install tomtom navigator on this shit, it should be working like a normal gps, right, plotting routes and all... No ?
