i think everyone lost interest in i-mate n moved over too SE's xperia X1. i may consider this phone if it comes out before the xperia. it depends on who releases their phone 1st. i still love this phone but it doesnt have motion sensor n it quad band 3g network

This is so rediculous, it should have been released already. I hope this isn't a representation of the kind of quality and service we can excpect from i-mate.

TELSTRA? LOL
If Telstra is going to release this one it will be pretty much a luxury item that 2% of the population can afford.
I hate their pricing! They are the most expensive, and just because of NextG.
Anyway, I'm still hoping to see a 9150 eventually!

A Google Shopping search will show you two companies that are taking pre-shipment orders for delivery in March.
The phone has the correct specifications for operation on GSM networks in Europe and USA.

I'm in the military and travel around quite a lot. My inention is to predominantly use this phone in the US but would also like to be able to use it in other countries if I get relocated. Does anyone know if that's possible?
Also, where can I buy this phone? I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find it.

They say this device is the "Hambuger with the lot".
We will see.
There is talk it may join the Telstra NextG network in Australia next month (March).
Certainly Telstra could do with this little beauty in their lineup.
No one is saying as yet.
Hope this another case of "pigs can fly" for Telstra's NextG customers.

Looks like GSMArena finally went to the Imate booth, but apparently they didn't spend much time there.
The only notable comments on the 9502 were it's a "smoothly" running phone with a decent QWERTY keyboard. However, the screen is rather "sluggish" when changing orientation.
That's it?
I'm rather disappointed GSMArena. I was hoping for a more in-depth review of the Ultimate series. There are quite a few people that have questions about these phones.. For example, how does the TV-out look/peform? Were any multimedia functions (such as 3D acceleration, video decoding/encoding, etc) even mentioned by the Imate representatives? What about confirmations of a release date?

That chipset in those HTC devices is powerful though. HTC just decided that their customers don't need all that power. I don't think imate will be as foolish.
Keep in mind though, the X1 will be out in the second halp this year. The 9502 could be as early as end of this month (according to some online retailers) or as late as april.
And why has there still been no scrap of info about imate at the WMC??? Everyone is stuck on the new Sony... good move sony.

Oh yeah and one last thing about the X1.. It has quadband 3G w/HSDPA and HSUPA.
This means support for T-mobile's future US 3G network.
The X1 just might be the best investment for PPC minded US users.

I'll be honest, the XPERIA X1 is looking pretty sweet about now.
Just keep in mind that SE will probably have the best driver support and 3rd party software support out of all the pocket PC manufacturers out there today. To me, this idea is very compelling considering the troubles of HTC these days.. I'm also worried about the same problems arising with the 9502, as it uses the same chipset as said HTC products.
We'll find out soon enough I guess.

Just received an email news alert. This phone is coming to Australia to be used under the 3G850 network sometime in the first half of March 2008. Can not wait!
