For 200 gms, i dont know why they cant put a 3.5mm audio connector. Ithink this is a must feature along with XGA output instead of VGA output. If they add these features and a FM radio, this will be best device for quite some time in the market :)
Even without these, i think it will still be the coolest phone :P

Thanks. I guess I should probably clarify, it will be officially launched at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona which will be February 11-14. Hopefully we will see good detailed reviews of it soon after. Sales units however won't be available until mid April.
Tawd, keep in mind the Tytn 2 did not utilize the capabilities of that chipset. Particularly, the video divers did not use the onboard GPU, resulting in poor video performance. I am hoping that imate will not make this mistake, and I dont think they will. It would be a much bigger poblem with a VGA screen. I think/hope with proper drivers the imate will perform at least as good as the tytn 2 if not better.

Gee - the GPS receiver is integrated within the Qualcomm MSM7200 chipset, thus you should look at the Qualcomm website for that information.. Last time I looked I thought they said something about the SiRF Star III, but it looks like Qualcomm has since changed their site and i can't find the product page anymore.... :? I wonder what's going on w/Qualcomm? Maybe they've had so many complaints about their MSM platform not being able to live up to the specs advertised on their product page. The TyTN 2 was defintely a let down, in terms of what the MSM7200 is supposedly capable of. I have a feeling the same thing will happen with this phone.. I'm really starting to lose interest in I-Mate. :(

The Qualcomm processor found in the 9502 has a built-in GPS chipset. It is the same as the one used in HTC's TyTN II. Professional reviewers have stated that it is nearly as sensitive as a SIRF Star III.

I wonder if anyone knows what is the chipset of the built-in GPS of the i-mate Ultimate 9502?
i-mate are not being transparent in the specs. regarding the build-in GPS, while in ETEN x800 for example it is something that they like show in bold (Sirf Star III - currently the best GPS chipset (Jan-2008))

In Aril??????
I'm sorry you guys, but this is such a joke. Why is this such a suprise? I-Mate has been pushing back dates ever since their Ultimate line has been announced and chances are that the 9502 will be pushed back AGAIN in april.
I guess i'll just have to wait.....for a better phone.

It doesnt make sense to me that it will be the last of the ultimates to arrive. It is arguably the the best or one of the best of them all..

To Amir and others who hoped for a 256K colors screen: let set this straight and clear - WM6 or older can not support more than 64K display. Even if the screen is 256K, it'd be a complete waste.

According to Imate site, the screen color is 64K not 256K (I wish)
