Too big, too heavy and bulky like brick and its design is really ugly. I still prefer HP, HTC and O2 designs.

I know i-mate will change the features in future like 262K to 65K
    like Ultimate 6150.
    & 3 MP to 2 MP.
This PDA is just a PROTOTYPE.
& how knows really when it will release?
i-mate is the best terrible company in 2007.(Wins Best Terrible Awards)

To all of you complaining about the CPU -- how do you know it's slow? What are your comparisons besides the clock frequency?

The Qualcomm MSM7200 CPU has more than one core, sporting muliple processor engines that work together to enhance every feature on this phone. It's very similar to that of the Nokia E90/N95 - 3D acceleration, ARM 11 combined with multiple DSP's & ARM 9 processors. The Qualcomm chipset can support full H.264 decoding, 30FPS video recording @ VGA resolution, real-time TV, GPS, 6+ Megapixel Camera capable. It is superior to most phones on the market, and it arguably performs quicker than some higher mhz intel CPU's used in phones because it's an all-in-one unit, everything is integrated, no seperate graphics chipsets to slow things down and increase costs.

In my opinion, this looks to be a VERY promising phone - a VGA resolution screen is becoming a MUST for today's phone applications, and this unit certainly has the hardware to support everything on today's software market.

...now let's just see if I-mate changes their mind, again, and again, and again again again again.... i don't know about you guys, but i think they're showcasing yet another phone that looks too good to be true. hopefully they prove me wrong.

Its not ultimate 9502. It is incomplete 9502 -- no fm radio, no equaliser, no stereo speakers, no 3.5 mm jack

I dont understand your peoples complaints either... one of the first VGA screen PPCs that its 2.8" and people are complaning that the screen is small? What are we commenting on? A media laptop?

Also PSPa... how many PPCs do you know are going to run on Nvidia Mobile soon?

IR??? Who the heck uses IR anymore? That is ancient technology. Btw u can also use a phenomenon called bluetooth for a PC remote.

Im sure the 3.15MP camera with Autofocus is sufficent for a mobile phone, afterall you are purchasing a PPC... NOT a camera.

WTF is wrong with i-mate?? First they cancel the Ultimate 5150 and 9150 that were announced earlier this year and now this. Aren't this the same 4ckers that have previous ultimate versions (8150,7150) that are still in the 'coming soon' category and were announced as early as February 2007?? i-mate needs to stop show-casing concept phones with excellent features but should actually come out with real phones. Showing us your intents and not actually manufacturing them only reduces your credibility. Take cue from Nokia and even apple (although I think Steve Job screwed up on the apple iphone) but atleast the iphone is a reality and not some futuristic plan that will be aborted later on.

i think the 7150 which i was also looking forward to is out. this one is real and there is some references to it in wyclef new viedeo but that is not true - it was the sonydevice which is not even aphone.

Sick phone, like a sidekick but on steriods
unsure if it has fm radio which I think was initially anticpated which would top this phone off. I like this better than iphone

I have jasjar now and am excited about upgrade

wish t mobile would get 3g already though so this would work for me.

To all of you who are complaining about ANY phone on this site.
Let you design and build your phone better than this PPC phone!
Then I can give you also NEGATIVE and SLUGGISH comments!
The best ever phone that can stand the test of durability and performance was the Nokia 6310i. I still use it as back up when my PPC phone goes down.
I even use my Jornada 720 HPC to write this message and use the Nokia for a modem to proof ALL you guys wrong.

Once this device is on the street, there will be a heck of guys and girls who will go for it and then the comments will be: to small camera, speed to low for internet, too big for pocket, and even the screen quality is lowsy for videos.
Common people,if you want to have all your favorite features in ONE phone,it will NEVER happen in your life time.

im always amazed that people rate a phone even before it's come out. This phone is probably better than the rating everyone gives it, and oh yeah no one uses IR anymore so the lack of IR isnt a big deal

I think imate is serious this time about the release. They have completely revamped their website and two additional ultimate sets are also being released, the 6150 and 8150. Check it out at www.imate.com.

I'm guessing its going to be priced in at north of USD 900 to begin with.

As far as battery and standby is concerned, the battery has slightly more capacity than the E61i's 1500maH but lets not forget the larger screen and VGA display in play in here. More juice would mean an even larger battery and probably jack the weight of hte phone as well which, at 200g is already pretty hefty.
