Got my new Lenovo p770 two days back from worthless rediff shopping which delayed my delivery by 10 days.
Here is my short review I ll compare it with my previous handset Xolo A800 (now onwards Xolo ) and at times with my brother’a Samsung galaxy grand (now onwards Samsung )
Price Rs 13500 rediff shopping
Looks
The Lenovo looks rough n tough however it lacks the premium feel of Xolo. Nothing is bad in the looks department but the finishing could have been better
Lenovo 7/10 Samsung 7/10 Xolo 8/10
Screen ../display
Lenovo has a awesome display it clearly beats samsung and Xolo here
Touch
Samsung has the best touch fell..... Lenovo and Xolo both has good and equal touch response but Samsung touch h as a unique flavour that stays unmatched
Performance and browsing experiance and speed
Samsung 8/10 Lenovo 8.5/10 Xolo 7/10
Call quality
Lenovo excells here good reception of signals. Good voice quality
Beats Xolo here. Not sure about Samsung
Camera
Lenovo 7/10 Samsung 8/10 Xolo 5/10
Speaker
Lenovo 8/10 Samsung 8/10 Xolo 5/10
Batterylife
Lenovo is the undisputed king in this department after full charge with my typical usage with duel SIM on 3g always on and lot of net surfing
Samsung lasts for Max 10 hrs, Xolo 6 hrs, its 2 days but still Lenovo is running with 30% battery left
Overall Lenovo p770 is a wonderful smartphone with unsofisticated rough and tough looks . Its the best budget smart phone available in the Indian market today. It may lack a quadcore but with marathon battery backup and wonderful performance it beats any smartphone available in Indian market under Rs 20 000 IMHO.

There are now 3-4 pieces still in stock at alfa.
Also note that i was able to get a screen guard for the p770 from alfa costing inr 350. I further cross checked for u and was informed that now they have a number of screen guards for the p770.
Out of the box it is having android 4.1.1 but i received notification for firmware upgrade which i have yet to do as the update is nearly 400 mb in size.
Hope this info helps. Currently i am using my exixting sim as sim 2 and kept sim 1 as empty as this sim is having a 2g vodafone data plan.

The camera is fantastic and the editing features are very user friendly. The battery isn't what they claim it is to be but it gives me 40hours back up with 5 of talk time with Bluetooth, data, wifi etc.

Most of the apps use voice heard from the speaker to record and hence need to use speaker phone and they are not good quality recordings. How is it in this? Does missed call indicator have different color for missed calls / sms ?

my phone lasts for 3 days. i set the power saving app to long standby. i disabled gps. i only use single sim on slot number 2 since slot number 1 is labeled 3g, it consumes more energy than gsm., i turned off data connection. i use only wifi for web browsing. i turn it off whenever i don't need it..

But when I talk about 20times x 1.5minutes per day; online 30' on wifi; online 30' on 3G, it keeps whole 2 days. If you choose Long standby, it can keeps 3 whole days. It's so good, isn't it!

Bought it today from Lenovo authorized showroom for 13500 INR, it does have a gyro sensor and temple run works flawlessly... no doubt the processing power is damn fast. A great buy.
