Funny, the price has been fixed in Indonesia (Rp.2,500,000) but not one unit is available in store. The authorized dealer (Okeshop) has had big banner ad. of this type -along with S890- at every outlet but none on stock). I really want this phone.

thanks for the reply! got p770 from alfa today at 13,200INR. It already has a screenguard to it, y do u need another? and have you found a flap cover for the phone or any other cover panel? kindly let me know if you have bought it from where and for how much?.thanks and regards.

led notification for missed calls and unread messages seems to be very handy after 2 weeks of usage. dont have to unlock screen for checking missed calls and messages. many smartphones are dropping this feature.

2) I was shown just a model for the phone not an actual display piece. But that gave me a fair idea of size and weight.
3) Google Play and Google Apps are pre installed. They were my first criterion.
4) Did not try importing.
5) Don't have a 3g sim yet. But the phone will last easily for 2 days with typical use of calling, net surfing, videos, music, temple run 2 and some other games.
6) The phone weight does not seem to bother me at least for daily use.

Alright guys, finally found a benchmark which could compare Maxx to P770 in terms of battery quality.

Using Antutu Tester found on these 2 sources:
Lenovo P770 - 924 points (http://mobile.pconline.com.cn/review/solo/1212/3113895_all.html#content_page_3)
Motorla Maxx - 983 points (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh5ya6uWCOg)

Seems like even though Lenovo P770 might have 200 more mah than Motorola Maxx, Maxx does survive longer than P770 in a single charge.

Dear Fellow P770 owners.
How come Lenovo being such big and respected company isn't giving any clarifications on the battery issue? I was hoping by now there was something from them. At the end of the day it's pure CHEATING by giving us to believe its 30 hours of talk time but only SHOWS 8-10 hours and in actual use it's given me 6 hours of talk time. With 6 hours we are talking of 1/5 what's promised. Even if we have all the connectivity on it should give us at least half the backup promised.

I'd like your comments on this folks.

This phone is truly amazing! Ive bought this phone last week only. The battery is so powerful and all the specs on it and I LOVE IT! :)

could you please clarify few of my questions:

1. Does it support Compass Application from google play
2. Have u noticed any heating problems,while using wifi or playing games etc.
3. Have u found any draw-backs with this mobile?
4. Does it supports tilt function,as required for playing games like temple run,death moto etc.

Hi Guys,
I've been using the Lenovo P770 for 10 days now. A small review.
The speed is excellent.

No need to use any other launcher coz it has a very good UI.

Battery as all have said doesn't show 30hrs talk time etc but it's good for
pure 1 1/2 days of hectic usage -Bluetooth always on, dual sim being active, 3G always on and whenever it's near a wifi it connects immediately, net surfing, email sync, whatsapping, you tube watching, checking score, GPS on. With all this on I've got 6 hours of talk time.

The GPS using Google Maps isn't that great but serves the purpose. The location shows within 50 metres.

The Bluetooth connectivity is great and connects immediately.

Now the actual phone quality. The calls are clear as its got something called "Smart Sound". This gives you CrIstal clear calls and no call dropping. The calls are Great on the speaker phone. Most of all you can RECORD your calls in all 3 formats - Bluetooth, handset earpiece or speaker.

The camera is fantastic. It's got inbuilt panorama shots and HDR. It's got a Auto scene detect which does what it says. Gives you great snaps even photographing a Neon Sign in the night. I've not seen any other smart phone including an iPhone with that facility. It's got the usual smile shot and EV bracket shot which I think shoots with and without flash and merges automatically. It's also got a MAV feature which gives a panoramic shot which you can touch and move like a virtual reality shot. It's 5 MP. Your photos can be immediately uploaded to various chat groups and drop box.

Screen resolution and back lighting is great. Even in sunlight.

The processor speed is amazing for the money you pay. It's fast in doing anything. Ofcourse you can delete the unused apps if you feel a lag in the speed. It's got a much awaited auto switch off / on feature which you can set a convenient time for.

The phone comes with Google Play store, Lenovo back up and sync and a lot of superb and well thought of features and apps. The 4.5" screen is just right to see your email and read the website content without reaching for your ipad.

12 years ago I started with O2 XDA to iPhone then on to HTC google nexus one to Galaxy S Duos. On the whole it's the best smartphone I've used till now.

I'm sure I've left out a huge amount of features. Hope this gives you folks some insights to the phone.
