Hi...
My phone volume is very less in crowded
area. When I receive the call, it is really
hard to communicate with the person thr
phone. Even if ring tone is less then we
can use vibrator in crowded area...but what
about phone volume for received call to make
conversation.
So, friends... please suggest how to increase
phone volume.

The phone volume is very low (not ring tone). You cannot listen clearly in the crowded area. Can anyone has a solution

Hi All,
I am planning to buy LG G1600. This cell phone has the maximum features except camera.
But it is okay for me. Anyone give ur comments to my mail id about whether this cell phone is good at ringtones, sound, picture quality, battery etc with ur nice
opinions. Thanks for sharing my information.

As a test, without making any calls or text. I can only get 5 and 1/2 days out of a fully charged battery, thats having the phone on 24 hours a day. Where i live in sydney australia i get full reception of signal.
Has anyone had better battery life ?

Over the past few months I've seen these handsets being sold through our store and the battery life has been dismal at best. If it is a difficult thing for you to put your phone on charge every night you'd best avoid this handset.

Hello i live in mauritius and i just bought the lg g1600 cellular phone.
The problem is that the battery goes only for 48-60 hours in full mode...That is i only switch the battery off only for charging . is this normal???or does my battery have a problem...
btw...i only send 10-20 sms per day...so cant say that i use it much

oops thats 115200 bps :-)
And the sunlight thing is damn annoying 'cos it makes the screen impossible to see

Cable is serial and runs at 115000kb/s. It's OK for transferring files accross but takes a little while! The only problem is it wont transfer "non LG signed" java games or some crap like that. It does come with 12 or so games that do transfer. I d/l the 1600 software from lgservice.com but it didn't support java transfer. I'm trying to find a work around for this though.
I'll try that other site you mention too. Cable is suitable for quite a few phones, check gma.com.au site for list of supported phones.

The Phone looks great but it's ringtone volume is very low even in Loud mode.In Noisy evvironment it's difficult to even sense the vibrator(it's not high too).Hope they increase it.

How do you remove the annoying tone and skater boy animation from the startup and shutdown screens!!!???

AshWinW, could you tell me if your cable is a serial or USB cable? Is it also suitable for LG 5300, 5400? BTW you can get full software for the G1600 from http://in.wowlg.com as well as ringtones etc!

I was looking for the data cable and emailed LG Aus to find out where to get it. Their "official" distributor is genuine mobile accessories (www.gma.com.au). The one I bought was from TechBuy (www.techbuy.com.au) and is the LG DK-20G. The CDROM does not specifically have G1600 software but the G5300 or G5400 software works fine.

Charging time for battery from low to fully charged is approx 3 hrs.

Nice phone, great screen display quality, the silver one looks really cool, very light phone, doesn't feel like it's even there when I put it in my bag. Bought it at Tandy for $79! on Vodaphone prepaid (in Australia). Does anyone have any idea where to buy the PC/data cable and CD? Does anyone actually have it?
