I need help, my problem is this boot loop, it suddenly started yesterday, I only purchased this LG G4 last May, of Amazon, brand new, after reading up, I definitely decided to buy, I rely a lot on this, it is my life line, because I`m a Type 1 Diabetic, all my hospital contacts are on, now I`m unable to retrieve them, I`ve done everything that can be done in trying to sort this issue out, of all days when yesterday when I needed it I couldn`t, thank god they was a passer by, but there could be a time no one around, I`ve emailed the seller, I hope someone can advise me Thank you

AnonD-446869, 23 May 2017Just received my g4 after been replace with new motherboard... morehye..i also used lgg4 before this..but my phone suddenly shut down without any causes..i tried to restart again but still nothing happened..I went to PLAZA LOWYAT to ask about the problems the said maybe the motherboard problems..but they cant repair my phone because they didnt have spaire part motherboard for LGG4..can i know where u repair your phone? how much the cost?

Yesterday I took my LG G4 to service, hoping to solve the bootloop somehow, at least by reballing, but no... Unfortunately, it's gone for food. Now I'm back to my old but gold Lumia 930. LG must pay for this awful design mistake, as Nvidia did back in the days, after turning all HP Pavilion series into crap.

AnonD-671420, 23 May 2017you made a huge mistake my friend !so far until now, i haven't charge the battery and running it for long time, battery works well, and no experience of laaaag or faulty issue. camera is good both front and rear. i will update this post to prove people wrong impression but if this phone suck. i will be supporting you against it! but as of now Alhamdullilah, its good one =)

i bought my lg g4 T-mobile on may5 2017 and on may 22 2017 it Died ! the screen went black one morning and never returned stuck on black screen of dead ! don't buy this phone they overheat and get bootloop it is so common on this phones ! bought it from Ebay brand new returning it to the seller tomorrow .

i just brought LG G4 as of today 22/May/2017, so far unboxing havent show any issue, i try to run it and it works fine. i will post new update after 1 and 2 years, i need to prove Javier is wrong!

Don't ever buy this!! While it has got top specs, it's known bootloop problem will make it useless - sooner or later. Keep your data backed up regularly and get rid of it ASAP.

Let me share what has solved my boot loop problem with my LG g4.
I removed the thin metal that covers the motherboard. Then I put a small piece of folded paper on top of the biggest chip on the motherboard (just thick enough like when you put the metal cover, it would push the chip). Then put the metal cover back on.
For me, this is my permanent solution as my LG g4 has been working for a month without having the same issue again.
