Henry C, 27 Dec 2016My LG G4 cannot power on at exactly 4 days after the 1 -yea... morethe exact same thing happened to me. This is my 3rd LG phone. The other one, LG Optimus Pro got the same problem. I don't know what I was thinking.... Never buying another LG phone. And there's no way I'm gonna pay that much money for a motherboard replacement. I'll just save my money and buy a new one.

My LG G4 cannot power on at exactly 4 days after the 1 -year warranty expired. The LG service centre in Hong Kong asked me to pay HK$2000 for motherboard replacement. What a garbage product and a big rip-off. Never bug LG phone again!!!

Hamza, 25 Dec 2016Hello! I had experienced the bootloop issue with my LG G4 p... moreYeah, i know that already. But from the reviews on XDA and some other sites, some say that the infamous bootloop issue has been addressed on those LG G4 manufactured in 2016, and those G4 have serial No. starting with 6xxxxxx, with HW version 1.1. for example, a G4 with serial No. 604xxx means that it was manufactured in April 2016.

I just wanted to get feedback from those with similar serial No. and HW version.

AnonD-624541, 25 Dec 2016Has anyone with LG G4 that has MSN(Serial No.) 60xxxxxxxxx ... moreHello! I had experienced the bootloop issue with my LG G4 previously as well. Looking into it online, I found out that the bootloop issue is a system glitch that LG had identified and recognized. There is unfortunately nothing you can do about it yourself. What you will have to do is send it in to LG, that's is what they told everybody with the bootloop issue to do and they will repair it free of cost. Hope this helps!

Has anyone with LG G4 that has MSN(Serial No.) 60xxxxxxxxx and HW version 1.1 experienced BOOTLOOP? Please, reply this message. The serial No. and HW version are written behind the battery, so pull it to see it.

Unexpectedly, my LG G4 has suddenly stopped working. I was on call with my husband and in between the call my phone just got hanged. I removed the battery and sim card to make sure the phone gets started without any hassle. But to my surprise the phone has stopped working completely in spite of the fact that it was 70% charged before this tragedy. I read about boot loop which is a common problem in this phone. I used this phone for nearly one and a half year and it was my favorite phone ever. Any suggestions please what should i do now???

"If your LG G4 turns itself off unexpectedly, then gets caught in bootup, refusing to actually make it to the Android homescreen, it sounds like you may have the LG G4 bootloop issue.

It effectively bricks your phone, even though it isn't a software issue – which is what usually turns your handset into a useless slab of plastic. The cause of the problem has been confirmed as a fault in the soldering of one of the connectors on the device's main board."

You can recover it, you'll just have to go back to XDA and or AndroidForums to find out how.

I bought LG G4 in August 2016 and after just 5 months of usage it got that famous boot loop problem, i was not expecting such kind of problem in LG's phones specially in G4 its their brand line. I spent alot of money to fix it but unfortunately i failed. Now my children are playing with it like a dummy phone. So disappointed with LG ....

I've had this phone for about 8 months, and to cut a long story short, I'd say avoid this phone.

Pro's are a nice display, decent camera, reasonably quick, 'knock-on' feature to wake phone up is nice, and 32GB of internal storage is great. However...

Con's are humming/ hissing sound in left ear when using noise-cancelling headphones (known issue, also seems to have gone unaddressed by LG also) The 'knock-on' feature on my phone no longer works correctly despite resetting it, the display wakes by itself for no reason causing massive loss of battery life and the phone randomly beeps and wakes during charging. Bottom line - Don't waste your money.
