Good specs,.
Awesome creativity,.
Idea of friends,.. Amazing!!
Great phone in general,.
BUT
Small battery capacity
Too big,.
Design,......naah,.
Friends are too big: limits mobility

My opinion:
Phone is good but would have been much better if the G5 friends were made alittle compact, its screen size reduced to a 4.7 or 5.0 inch,. PPI to a 600 or more and a better battery capacity.

KUDOS LG!!
Thou still usin my G2,.

LG is going to loose it's market because of this reduction in battery size... I thought LG would enhance the battery life in Next product. But they reduced. Time to say good bye to LG

With the type of screen (IPS LCD) it wouldn't really benefit of the savings intended by an ALWAYS ON DISPLAY, compared to an AMOLED.

Always On Display will surely require the backlight of the LCD screen lit, unlike to AMOLED that selectively turns pixels on.

AnonD-249419, 21 Feb 2016Worst design i've ever seen in smartphone industry. well, it is much better compare to Samsung's never-changing design...
they just make the corner round or square a bit or make the home button bigger or smaller... at least LG dare to try the new design!!!

I wish there was some notes about how certain the various portions of the specifications are. The battery, flash memory and screen specifications seem oddly small.

There is also the lack of detail on the network technologies. Lack of CDMA isn't surprising, but suggests there is no hope of being compatible with Project Fi in the future. What LTE bands will the G5 support?

I have an lg g4 i am not happy with the battery of my phone and the other hand i wait for a good battery life in G5 but its so Ugly to see only 2800mh battery, Samsung is going up in battery life and Lg is going down WHY ?

Instant of calling it ugly I will call it fugly (futuristic design device ) just like when Note launch in late 2011 people called it too big, ugly odd design, no one going to buy, But now note series is king of phablets

who said 5.3'' screen is too big? Iphone 6 4.7'' is little too small. 5.0''-5.3'' is perfect. The hell you talking about? The G4 5.5'' is too big. If the G4 is 5.2'', would be an awesome phone!!!!

Oh c'mon!!! People are very hard to please nowadays. No matter how good the products/gadgets are, consumers still have so much to complain. Remember there's no such thing is "PERFECT" in this world. Just learn how to appreciate.

*Now lets get back to the topic.
                                    - LG's unveiling of their new flagship which is the G5 is really innovative. They really focused on the design and functionality of the device and ofcourse performance as well. They introduced not 1, but so many accesories that can be attached to the G5 device. I can say this idea is a bit reminiscent to the PROJECT ARA by Google. A modular phone that has a swappable hardware. This technology might be the direction where smartphones is heading on the near future. Well see about that a few years from now. Maybe LG has new ideas that consumers will benefit if only given the chance to explore and learn through it. Theres a reason behind G5 design and concept.

                                    CONGRATULATIONS LG!

                                    Yours Truly, proud V10 user.

Totally disappointed with the battery and screen size.
Screen size should have been 5.5" and battery should have been at least 3800mAh.
