Updated my LGG5 to nougat today in India after a long long wait. The update did not show when checked through WIFI in phone about. But when i connected the mobile to PC through USB and LG bridge showed 2 updates. The update is actually only 1 which is the nougat update of 2.42 GB. Initially it did not allow me to update and continuously showed the message " the update cannot be downloaded" so after trying for about 50 times i was able to download it and update my phone. So anyone in India waiting for the nougat update should connect the mobile to PC and try to update it through LG bridge. You may get lucky after few attempts and update the phone.

Does LG g5 h820 work with European comms?
Cause in from Portugal and the h820 is way cheaper that the h850 which is the "European" version...
The h820 is for At&t network but I've purchased one and I want to use a NOS SIM card in it, is it compatible?

[deleted post]If you have battery problems like me (2h on screen) reset the phone twice. It seems to work for now (back on 5-6h). Still.. LG should come with an update.

If you are interested in the G5 then let me tell you that this smartphone is great but in general, the battery performance of the xz is much better, the LG G5 is using a sony camera sensor, if your priority is the camera then why would someone buy a LG smartphone with sony camera instead of the sony itself, yet the xz camera out performs most flagships instead the Google pixel xl, perhaps the QHD display of the G5 is better, but no, it doesn't show any better performance in real life, the xz is water and dust proof, the G5 not, the xz has dual front facing stereo speakers the G5 has one speaker at the bottom, speed performance? Don't expect a slow smartphones nowadays but sony already proved and for me that their smartphones can perform excellently for multiple years without any issues ''i am using a z3 from 3 years without any problem"

Looking in the apps tab at setting I saw that LG darined took 9% (241mAh) of battery , Quickmemo+ also 9% (247mAh) and settings 9% (251mAh) on a total of 839mAh in half an hour without barely using the phone. Hope LG sees this and fixes the problem if it is solvable by software update.

Then the sound problem and now the huge battery drain , overall is a great phone but hope LG will fix these bugs in the next update that should come faster.
