    Big enough screen,high resolution camera,4gb ram,2800mAh battery.
What do you need anymore? If you have enough money, ignore the overpriced phones and go for this.
Oh wait actually there are some problems in this phone but well at least not blasting like the note 7 right?

          Hello guys,
I'm really satisfied with this phone, I have it since October 2016 and expect the battery life, I'm pretty happy having it and don't have plans to change it in future.
I have only one problem and I hope that someone will help me with it.
After the upgrade to Nougat 7.0 on 05.12.2016 sometimes all media is not working for example, I can't watch YouTube videos (some error shows), watch videos on my device, play music, videos on FB, not even sounds for notifications or incoming calls or messages. I need to restart phone and everything works fine for couple days or hours. I have made a factory reset, but same and I don't want to downgrade to Marshmallow.
          Please for replay :)

AnonD-579705, 21 Feb 2017Two questions please guys. Is there any boot loop issue yet... moreNo bootloop for me. I don't know about other people. I've seen a few posts that theirs had bootloop. If your hands are big, get the V20. If not, get the G5. Good luck, and enjoy you new phone! ;)

Very surprised with positive reviews of LG 5. Here is my story. I bought first one 6 montsh ago and it worked fine, so I bought the second one for my wife. Hers bricked after 12 days for no reason and was replace under warranty. About 2 months later the issues started. 1. Both phones, started constantly loosing GPS signal while we are driving. 2. Both phones started having reception issues when indoors. i.e. the other end will start telling me: you are constantly breaking up, while I will be hearing the other voice crystal clear. Constant dropped calls. I brought both phones for reapairs, and both mainboards were replaced - issues disappeared! Not for long. A month later both GPS and dropped calls returned on one of the phones. And while we both had two ancient Sony Experia loaners, both loaners worked fine with same sims and in the same spots. In addition, camera indor quality is crap, on auto at least. Worstphoen I have ever owned, by far!

Is there is bootloop issues on lg G5 like the lg G4?

One of the most underrated, underappreciated, and misunderstood smartphones of all-time. This is a phone that deserves a cult following as time goes by...

Critics can bash the design but the Google Pixel is far uglier. The matte iPhone 7 is now dealing with Scuffgate Part 2. The G5's build quality isn't prone to smudges or shatter either like the S7 edge or any phone with a glass rear will have. Has LCD which last longer than OLED and less potential burn-in.

This is one of the most perfect phones I have ever used with microSD slot up to 2 TB and a removable battery for future proofing to boot. I have very few qualms with it. So glad this phone is ranked #9 as the most favorited on this site. It was simply overshadowed by the Samsung S7 edge and Note7.

Look beyond the failed modular, rear camera, and poor sales and LG did the basics right. Fast, smooth, great camera, good price, loud, easy to hold, easy to repair, rarely gets hot, etc. Again, an overlooked phone perhaps too ahead of its time for the masses to fully grasp like the Sega Dreamcast but will accumulate a cult following over time...

AnonD-579705, 21 Feb 2017Two questions please guys. Is there any boot loop issue yet... moreThat will depend on your preferences ans habits. G5 is naturally cheaper than the V20. It's also smaller, so one hand usage will be much better.

I never experienced a bootloop on my G5, btw. Buy one! Just put a case around it. Also protect it with a tempered glass. Scuffs and scratches almost always give heartaches to phone owners.

AnonD-646777, 22 Feb 2017If I buy this phone now, could it last for 3-4 years? I mea... moreGo for LG as long as the battery is user-replacebale, and the screen is IPS-LCD. I admit that this is mainly my preference, but the advantage is already stated by the two other people who replied to you (especially regarding battery).

AMOLED screen is great, if not the best, in contrast, but it does burn in depending on how long your screen-on time is. No exceptions. I owned a Nokia C7 and a Galaxy S4. They both had burn in after just a month. I checked other people's and store's Galaxy S7 units. They have burn in. It is just a matter of time.

I bought a G2 in 2013. It retired only last year because it was conpletely shattered after it got hurled to a concrete floor. Otherwise, it would have been working fine even now (except the slightly shortened battery life after years of use).

Don't buy an hTc. The price is high compared to LG (at least between flagships). Their design is good, but not their updates. I owned the One X, and its bluetooth connection with my bluetooth headset then was terrible at best. I owned a One M9+ which wasn't updated to Marshmallow. Good thing it was stolen LOL.

Now, I am typing this on an unrooted LG G5. It works fine. It's even more reliable than my laptop for browsing the web (largely subjective). It's nice to be on LG territory again. Get this phone. Just put a case and tempered glass protector on it if you want it to look as good as new after 4 years. Looking forward to your choice.

AnonD-646777, 22 Feb 2017If I buy this phone now, could it last for 3-4 years? I mea... moreThis this could easily last you 3-4 years. Since batteries degrade a lot over that period of time, you could just take out, and replace the battery of the G5, since its battery is removable, where other phones have their batteries sealed in

AnonD-646777, 22 Feb 2017If I buy this phone now, could it last for 3-4 years? I mea... morePhones with user-replaceable batteries can always help prolong a phone's life since the most likely component to give out is the battery.

If you want a Samsung or Xiaomi, get a lower end one with removable battery. I have Xiaomi but didn't like how each software update ruined my battery life and Mi PC Suite isn't compatible to my MacBook. That's the balance you get when wanting new features and faster performance. You sacrifice efficiency.

Samsung is known to have laggy phones after awhile thanks to having the poorest software optimization among all Android OEM's. The Snapdragon 820 is actually a pretty powerful chip as seen as how smooth and fast the OnePlus 3, G5, and HTC 10 have shown. Samsung made it look pale in comparison to their Exynos with terrible RAM management.

I am also reluctant getting an iPhone X because OLED will have burn-in and think curved displays and bezel-less are useless, uncomfortable, trendy, cosmetic gimmicks. Go with the G5. It will last and last years. I have owned all kinds of brands from Samsung, Apple, HTC, and so forth. LG is the only brand that knows what I usually want. The rest keep making the same mistakes every year to appeal to the fashionista tech crowd.
