Only drawback it's battery capacity bu... moreG5 could be the better phone compared to S7 if ...display to body ratio would be at least 75% (huge downgrade here from G2,G3,G4), and if it had a stylish look (atm being the ugliest flagship on the market). ...but yes, because of this they have to sell it cheap, so it can be a bargain.
p.s. Note 7 has a display to body ratio of 78% and no on-screen buttons, LG could learn something from it.

LG5 is easily the biggest POS on the market don't buy it! It lags and frezzes, heats up when you use any kind of media. Junk!!!!

My sister and her boyfriend have S7 edge and a S7 so I've compared both three phones.
BTW go try to control your air-con or the dvb receiver or the crappy hotel tv's with an S7 :D :D
With the G5 you can! ( ir port)

It would be nice if the android N update for LG G5 makes the fingerprint scanner more usable. Like trigger for camera shot, scroll function, app switcher, etc. Yes it will be having multi window function and I am expecting more for this expensive phone. I regret I bought it instead of Huawei P9 Plus. Battery life sucks.

Love LG phones... This is my fourth phone and only issue is the power button malfunction! This is a severe issue once the phone powers off...no way to power on! Why is this still an issue

I just got it yesterday. Great phone and really underrated by reviewers. Does anybody know if there will be a module that just extends the battery. It would be better than having a second battery in your bag.

Bought this G5 the day before yesterday.. sold my iphone 6s+ and one plus 3. G5 has an outstanding camera.. used s7 edge a months back.. i think, G5 is equipped with a better camera than s7 edge. Also has an wide angel OIS lens. Picture quality is superb . In fact according budget it delevers the best than S7 family and one plus 3 or MI5. One plus 3 is lacked behind due to its below grade selfie cam .

For the last 2 years I've been using an Lg G2 so the G5 will be easier to get used to.
The salesman at Verizon told me he sees a lot of people that bring back their S7 Edge with broken screens, the G5 has gorilla glass 4 so I think it will be more durable if I drop it.
S7 Edge has a bigger battery and wireless charging but the G5 has a replaceable battery and USB C will charge to 80% in 25 minutes, with an extra battery no need to wait to charge at all.
G5 is a lot less expensive.
S7 Edge is water resistant, G5 is not.
Both have 4g ram and 32g mem. and Snapdragon 820 processors
I chose the G5.
I think I made the right choice. I'll keep it away from water and hopefully I wont miss the convenience of wireless charging.

It's doesn't have a good battery though but Oh well...
S7 if you just want a boring android experience...
