LG still fails without an Oled display, they rem... more...there is a feature called "Always on Display"...you can see all notifications without turning on the cellphone...can you tell the difference between RGBW LCD (with 1,000 nits of brightness) vs an AMOLED screen??? the IR blaster is usefull is you live with kids in your house...for me this cellphone is good option in 2018!!!!!!

LG still fails without an Oled display, they removed the IR that once had and on LG G2 I at least had an RGB led that was glowing when some shit happened. I mean... LG, Why the hell would anyone put an always on display on a phone that has to open its entire screen to display something ? Just to copy Samsing ? Helllooooo.... THEY HAVE OLED. Lightning up some led on that display drains no battery !
However, we have Radio... great feature. Is anybody still listening to radio broadcasts ? Remove that and put back my beloved RGB led or the IR to control devices....

Lg smartphone ceo is changed so everything is different than before...which is good.
Lg phone durability is still very question able...

While I've read a couple of comments which have been discouraging but I have to say LG has taken a right approach here. Put their focus on an improved sound quality. And the boom box is way better than most stereo sound you'll see anywhere. LG picture quality from their cameras has always been top notch and an IPS LCD display with HDR10 is still my pick.
The 3000mAh battery must have been to create that hollow space for the boom sound which other features have been optimized to consume way less battery power. Why put in a large battery when you already have a screen and processor that's expected to be 30 - 45% more energy saving than previous model which allows LG to be creative else where.

Optimisation is also critical to battery life and this phone has the best hardware and software available on the market at this time. Your only concern should be whether to adopt ios or remain with android.

S9 7h:23min.
G7 7:20min.
Test in phone.arena, but V30 9h:34min. And G6 low 6h:9min

Iphone 8 (Endurance rating 66h)
Iphone X (Endurance rating 74h)
Iphone 7 Plus (Endurance rating 75h)

LG V30 (Endurance rating 93h)
LG G6 (Endurance rating 72h)
The Iphone X is less than 10% more efficient than LG G6. So going to Apple is not the best way to get full day smartphones.

Sorry LG. Moving to Apple. You are doing a great job, making the hardware top notch, but this time I'm way to worried about the battery life. My G6 isn't making trough a whole day even with 3300mAh... and now you put in 3000mAh.... :/

Well, I guess it goes without saying that the notch is here to stay, at least for now. I would say within the next 2-4 years we will start to see manufacturers roll out phones with full screen displays. It's just a matter or hiding all of the sensors beneath the screen, and still ensuring functionality isn't compromised.

My LG G5 has had the best phone camera I have seen so far.
The only issue with LG Support. When GPS became faulty they accused me having phone rooted (I deliberately didn't root it for a case like this!) and didn't fix it. No matter where I wrote including CEO they ignored me. I had to go back to O2 and push on them to repair it. I will never buy from LG itself for that reason.

The battery as good as S9 about 7hrs ...good for 3000mah and 6.1 inch brighter screen...Lg should put a 3500mah battery on g7 so it will excellent as v30
