I currently have a XZ1, and come from an LG G6, which I sold because I couldn't stand the freaking speakers (XZ1 has front facing stereo speakers), also I couldn't stand having to zoom in in all my videos or have black bars on them, also in games, content is 16:9 so should be screens, and the XZ1 ticks all the boxes with excellent results, it may not be the best in one single category but it's an excellent all rounder. And that's better Than being the best at a single thing, OS, Price LG, Battery LG, Display Samsung, etc.
Before the G6 I had an honor 8, and before a galaxy a5 2016

LG, ...despite the notch ..... that G7 is Outstanding ! ! Great Job .... but having said that.... please keep your V series distinguishable from your G series. Your the best LG. You're not perfectly flawless but you're definitely the best smartphone experience I've ever had ....considering the whole package, that is.

LG will forever be the poor man's Samsung.
LG does make excellent refrigerators, washing machines, tv sets etc. When it comes to computing, smartphone stuff, Samsung has an absolute advantage.
I am not a Samsung fanboy and I wish there are more credible Android competitors to take some market share off Samsung. But LG is not one of them. Neither is Sony or HTC. The Chinese phones (Xiaomi and Huawei) are more promising now.

But when you're not around chargers, you need to leave at least 5-10% battery just in case. And 6h are still not even half a day (The time between you wake up and go to bed), so why in the world is 6h considered enough?
OK, we get it, it's "energy efficient". Doesn't mean the battery should be reduced, because phones never provided enough autonomy in the first place. Especially when you consider degradation after a year of usage.
Stop being blind fan-boys.

Snapdragon 845 also uses 30% less battery compared to snapdragon 821. Because it can achieve brighter output with less power consumption. The battery life is gonna be the same as g6 ( about 6h SOT ) if not better even the battery is smaller

Of course it could suck power quickly, but unless you educate yourself about how consuming CPU and GPU is in it, you can't tell whether 3k is a small or good enough battery.
