Battery life sabotage d, scrolling broken, camera broken, hi-res audio broken, everything in the phone is not working.
And it is not about how new the phone to you, it is about how new the phone to the manufacturer and the rest of the world. LG G8 is a 3-years-old phone. And the smartphone department is officially dead for a year. LG's unique functions and licenses are no more being maintained anymore. Nothing can work better than sub-android10 versions of LGUI.
And for me, yes I suffered from broken scrolling last year's android11 update. And of course no hope and no fix. Rolled back to A10 and can not be more happy than this.

US AT&T version works fine with Android 11 API level 30 but don't recommend Android 12 because LG is out of the smartphone business and doesn't support Android 12.

Because the the phone will think that it is in the pocket and it stops respond unlocking to prevent weird stuff happening.

It sometime... moreFingerprint issue is likely due to the contact points for the sensor (which is attached to the back glass) not making sufficient contact to the pins on the main board. I have the same issue. Try pressing down at the back of the phone around 1-2 o'clock above the sensor, just under the flash. Pressing it down while concurrently using the sensor may make it work. Currently unaware of any fix; it may be due to warping of the back glass, failing adhesive, or otherwise. I might suggest switching to the face unlock and ditching fingerprint altogether.

My lg g8 thinq won't unlock when the sensors are covered in the dark or when it very dark. Please try this on your phone and reply. I also just updated to android 11.

Anyone having issues with fingerprint scanner ? It sometimes doesn't work for me. Also some of the people who call me gets told that my phone is busy even when I'm not using it. Fingerprint issue has been there since Android 10 but the call issue popped up after 11 update. I found a guy on reddit saying that fingerprint issue was caused by the back glass moving. He recommended pushing the back glass in. Someone else apparently kept a tissue between the case and the back glass so that it was pressed down. Hope that helped someone.

Verizon is going to shut down 3G on December 31, 2022. I have the T-Mobile LG G8 ThinQ and I am only able to get 4G LTE. It doesn't matter what you change your settings to, you won't be getting 3G from those carrers. Sprint (as you should know) merged with T-Mobile. So, no more Sprint.

Hey I got LG g8 at&t version and 3g doesnt work only 4g is there way I can enable it to work when I us *#*#4636#*#* and enable 3g network but doesn't work any solution? A friend of mine who uses Korean version works well.
