I am locked out of my LG8xThinQ. I have forgotten whatever 4 digit code I had been using. I have not used it for about 1 year or more. Last night the phone changed me back to unlock with a pin#. I have tried 40 times and now I am screwed. I am with AT&T on my sisters plan and we are struggling to find out what to do. Please help!!

I thought LG G8 only up to Android 11. Yesterday, just updated to Android 12. 3 Major OS Update for this phone. No trouble at all use this phone. By the way my G8 is LM-G820N triple camera.

Psystems, 16 May 2022Hello do you have volte switch inside mobile settings ? ThanxVoLTE is turned on by default. There are no options in the regular settings, so you won't find it, unless you access the secret menu. To access the secret menu, go to your dial pad and enter *#*#4636#*#* and then choose Phone Information. You should see the Preferred Network Type. Beneath that you will see Mobile Radio Power, VoLTE Provisioned, Video Calling Provisioned, Wi-Fi Calling Provisioned, and EAB Presence Provisioned. Everything except Mobile Radio Power might be greyed-out but they are toggled to the on position. EAB should be turned off. You can also install an app from the Play Store that will tell you if VoLTE is active or not. It should be active all the time.

The fastest internet speeds I have gotten so far is 133 Mbps or 16.625 MB/s. I was indeed able to get Android 11. You've got to keep installing the updates until it offers Android 11. There are rumors on the web of the LG G8 ThinQ getting Android 12 this fall. We'll see about that.

Bought the T-Mobile model last week brand new and I am loving it! Super speedy and snappy. Android 10. I am not sure how some people are getting Android 11. I have Mint Mobile (best service ever) and everything works. I'm talking about Wi-Fi Calling, VoLTE, and HD Voice+. Amazing call quality and crazy fast internet speeds. This phone cannot get 5G but who cares, I mean, I am getting 80 Mbps in town, so I'm good. That's 10 MB/s. I've had the G3, G4, G6, and now the G8. Best upgrade ever!
