hi ap!
i didnt understand why u couldn't put the stylus on your phone?
there is a hole on the top left hand corner of the phone by the side. just take out the stylus from the cover. put the string and form a loop.

I was thrilled when I brought this. Thinking it was a cheaper version of the iphone. I'd actually be able to use it and not worry as much about getting mugged. However as good as this phone has been so far, little things keep bugging me.
a) The cd for the PC Suite is about 3cm small so naturally it doesnt fit into my mac book. SO that pretty much makes it useless and I can't use the software. What inspired them to make the disc that small?
b)Setting up the blue tooth has been a night mare and is still not fixed.
c) texting feels like it takes twice as long than on a non touchscreen
d) th stylus is easily lost as the string is not long enough to attach to the side and stretch over the screen and cannot be hooked on anywhere, so what am I supposed to do with it?
Apologies for the rant but it keeps letting me down. Apart from that the fish theme is very cool and the layout is bright and easy to read and the camera gives good quality pictures even if it does take an age to focus.

2 wonderer: The response is very quick and there is a small vibration each time u press d screen. The stylus comes in handy when u are watching a video or movie as u wouldnt want to leave ur finger print. Usually its just 1 tap to get what u want.

hey, can anyone leave their opinion about the touch screen? is it responsive? how effective is it? is the stylus really necessary? does it usually take more than one tap to press an on-screen button?

hello everyone. Happy new Year!
I got a KU990 3 days ago. I'm happy with it but there is room for improvement. I will not repeat what other say. I will stand to the one thing that bothers me the most. The memory card. I have read reports that it works with 4,6,8 gb microSD cards. How the hell did these guys do it? I have read that they format the card on the pc and then insert it to the phone. That DOES NOT work. The viewty reads only FAT16 file system which has a natural limit of 1999MB. You CANNOT force format FAT16 more that 1999MB. For more than that you need fat32 but then the card is unreadable by the phone. Even if you create a second partition on the card again with FAT16 file system the phone does not see it. So whats going on?

I am deciding between Viewty and N95. Viewty is truly a beauty, but the limited 500 phonebook size is stopping me from buying. Understand that LG prada had 1000 phonebook size, and there can be 4 phone numbers (mobile, office, home, fax) tag to each names.
Does anyone know if Viewty phonebook is the same ? and 500 phonebook size means 500 names or 500 phone numbers ?

Go to:
Messaging / Create New Message / Message
Once there, click on the icon with the pen and the letter A on the top part of the screen and you should see keyboard option there.
Click on it and you should be in QWERTY mode.

The N95 is the best all rounder on the market at the moment however the viewty is a good phone. I find the touchscreen a lil unresponsive though :(

i have found the easiest way to transfer items is on bluetooth get a bluetooth dongle, and you can transfer pictures videos to and from the Viewty. its awesome mobile well done LG.

I saw a clip that showed the QWERTY option when texting or writing emails, but I can't seem to find that in my Viewty. Are there two versions of the Viewty? How can I change my texting option to QWERTY? It takes forever to text numeric-pad style!

To Get Pictures Off Your Phone, Load The Cd Blah Blah Blah, When The Pictures Load In The Contence Screen On Lg Pc Suit Drag The Photos Into My Documents Which Will Be In The Window On The Left Hand Side.

WITH REGARD TO DATA TRANSFER::
Are you tired waiting for ever on transferring data between your P.C. and your handset memory card with the included software??
ANSWER: Go to settings, phone settings, connectivity, USB connection mode and change to Mass Storage. Disconnect and reconnect USB cable and VOILA!!! Data transfer will now be over 10x faster....
Just in case anyone was getting pissed at the time it takes to transfer data with crappy LG PC SUITE...

wat i want to know is ive seen a KU990 advertised for £219 and a viewty advetised in the same place for £329 are these 2 the same phone im confused

The Good:

.Sexy; every 1 who looks at it wants it!
.Sound Quality is around 10w rms compared to seakers, however with less bass

.Unbelievable Screen resolution- equal to my lg pc monitor
.DIVX Converter is easy to use- drag and drop(pc required)
.Voice recorder can be set to unlimited
.Muvee- Makes u look like a movie star- u have to see it to believe it.
.FM Radio- has good signal strength
.Keboard 4 Texting and memos
.Comes with 3 amazing themes
.Clock is movable and stays in its position even if u restart d phone
.comes with extra srceen protectors.
.Browser can be set to full screen- in landscap or normal view.
.Games are available 4 it.
.Good Mp3 player options- and it looks great
.and i can go on and on
The Bad:
.Does not come with a srceen wipe- well u can use d stylus
.Cant use speaker funtion when using fm radio.
Final words and rating:
This phone amazed me from d time i switched it on. Many images of this phone shows a bulge 2 d botton however this is not the case, d bottom is round and looks great.

How do you SAVE picture on web page in this phone? I have been using this phone for a while but I don't know how to save the picture from website in the phone into my file! Anyone know how?
