I've this phone for a year and I must say it's wonderful but I seem to be having a problem with the battery, anyone experiencing the same problem? I have to charge the phone everyday, even if I didn't play music the previous day

i had this phone for just over a year, everything is nice about the phone. the camera is impressive, the clarity of the screen is great. But one thing occured after a year or so of using it. The screen stops responding. There are many other users with this issue. You touch the screen, and response somewhere else. It happened to me once or twice, then it started working again. Then after, it just stopped responding at all. now its a flashy paper weight right now. I'm not dissapointed with the phone and its fuction, but i wish there was a fix for the screen.

And it is working...I think it will go longer now. actually I used Flash for taking some pictures at first & used bluetooth for transferring my stuffs & Contacts from my previous set.

Omoy, 30 May 2009I charged my KU990R for almost 18 hours in first charge...B... morei'm from the philippines, I have my viewty for a year now, at first i had the same problem with you. The battery drained very quickly and i have not customized my phone setting yet when i bought it. First, I had my globe sim card inserted on and the problem went on and on, but after i changed the sim into "smart"(network provider here in our country) sim card, my viewty started to work very well and the battery lasted for 4 days with more on music and texting. Maybe my first sim card was starting to malfunction. Second I set my phone setting into the ff: brightness (20%, power save (off), network mode (automatic),touch tone volume (2), touch vibration (1). Thirdly, test your phone for other sim card from other network.

One more thing...U can only see the office documents..can't edit on it. And I didn't yet try to watch movie on my viewty.

I charged my KU990R for almost 18 hours in first charge...But still it doesn't seems good. Just after 6 hours it looses 1 block of it's 4 blocks. Anyone can give an expert opinion about what to do for long battery backup. The other things are excellent. Touch sensitivity is fine. OS is nice. Camera is excellent, I think it is the best 5MP camera in mobile. Texting is very easy. I still didn't use the stylus. Video playback and Audio quality is fine. Over all it is the best choice in it's price range.

have had this phone for over a year now, and i say there are a lot that's good with it including the looks, the touchscreen, divx playback, fast hsdpa connectivity, and the 120 fps video. these are what i did't like about it though. the 5 mp camera, which was my primary reason for getting this phone, was a very big disappointment. my trusty old se k800i's 3.2 mp produces better and almost no noise pictures than viewty's, even with the latter's pitures taken on a well-lit scene. the flash is nothing comparable to k800i as well. as with all previous lg phones, the ui is not very user-friendly, and as always is not costumizable with easily downloadable themes. the phone design is fit for a high-end product, im just at loss on why lg opted to have a 144 ghz cpu on board, which never allows you to play the music while playing a game nor browsing the net on a third-party browser; that despite the presence of a muti-tasking key. the phone doesn't even have a graphics accelerator that a simple 3d game seemed to move slower compared to k800i. another thing with third party apps, which has been consistent with all of my previous lg phones, is the inability to install signed apps despite having the required certificate on the phone. going back to the music player or the radio, both doesn't have eqs and the sound lacks not just bass but overall consistence. for a media phone also, it lacks external control to at least be able to do skip to the next song. the shuffle or random play on the music player is not memorized so you have to press it everytime you use the music player. overall, this still is a good phone.

Omoy..congrats...tell me your experience in detail please...how long did u charge it first night? how is the picture and video quality? The specs says that it has word, excel, powerpoint and pdf document viewer...is it like you can only view it or can u edit the documents in your phone too? And can you watch movies in your phone?

I am looking for a phone in which i can watch movies. LG KU990 viewty supports DivX format videos and ....?
Samsung S5600 supports Wmv format videos...which one should i purchase? does anyone know if Samsung S5600 suuports word, excel powerpoint and pdf document viewing? Please answer urgently. Thanks for your time!

I really like this mobile..but the only problem am having is the battery..it has been already one week since i've bought this mobile phone.I don't really use my mobile,its only when i receive a call that am using it.Still the battery goes to half a day..Its pretty weird since it is supposed to go up to 430h..else,the mobile has got very good features.

the flash and the battery on this fone is no good everything else is ok but when it comes to the flash for the fone it sucks mine stopped working all together does anyone know how i can fix it
