Warranty didn't cover it ad it was 15 days after the year. Best phone I ever had. Until it died. Bought a Xiaomi note 4. It is awesome.

Dear friends, i had bought nexus 5x on December 2015, last week it suddenly got freeze and stuck in boot loop, showing google
logo continuously.i have shown this to lg service center they are saying this is mother board problem, as my phone is out of warranty they are asking me to pay 12000 and need to wait for 20 days.
This is totally insane, LG+Google makes Indian people fool by selling defective phones, i had spent rs 31,500 for this mobile
and it became brick in only 1.5 years.
i suggest all my friends not to buy lg mobiles in future.

LG Nexus 5X works great. I installed all updates without a problem. Only complain is about dim screen in bright sun light.

It... moreI purchased LG Nexus 5X phone almost 2 year back .All of sudden the phone stopped working and it is getting restarted. Now Service Center team asking me to pay 11000 to repair the motherboard. I came to know from service centre team itself that many customers of LG nexus 5X have faced the same problem. This is because of bad deisgn of LG nexus 5X motherboard. Even after writing to LG Management the matter is not solved. For fault in LG Nexus 5X motherboard, customers are being harassed. Should we expect some replcment with updated product ?

DNB, 10 Aug 20171.5 years of good performance but entered bootloop and now ... moreI had this issue. Took it back to the shop and was told that as it was within two years of purchase it was still within warranty. I had the nexus 5 before which I replaced because I dropped it, it did play up though after about 18 months of buying it from the google website. The nexus 5 was also covered by a 2 year warranty so it might be worth looking in to this before buying a new phone.

@Laptop1234, My phone after 1 year -16 days entered the bootloop! It keep restarting. I still had 16 days left on my warranty luckily though. I am also on an old Sony Xperia right now. I only commented because of how similar my situation is.

My phone after one year and 8 days entered the bootloop! It keep restarting... And the warranty is end! It was great.... I am really sorry for it... I am in my old xperia sp now :-(

I've been using this phone for about 1.5 years and never had any issues with it. The camera is fantastic (better than an iPhone) and the performance is great.

I bought it at july/2016 from Dubai but after 3 months it's color changed from white to yellow gradually , I'm very disappointed from the change of the color although the finger print still white ..

Getting it refurbished for around $120
I wanted to know if it's worth it or should I go for the budget Moto phones.
I see a lot of complains of bootloop and restarting here. So I'm confused.

I bought my 5X in 2016 April. For 2 - 3 months, it has been crashing and restarting. Today it crashed, and restarted as usual, and then the system was start updating. Then the phone crashed again. Now it would not start. I assume it is an issue with the charging IC and that LG Nexus 5X is not very reliable in hardware department.

This phone is overall 7/10. But failed to sustain updates after 7.0 and its motherboard got crashed. i recommend not to buy this phone.

It was good phone but in month of march this year 2017, while i was on call suddenly phone shut down, been to LG they ask for bill and orignal material which i got, after 15 days i got a call lady said we are not able to fix it up we are not shure its software problem or mother bord, if you want this phone in working condition submit 10 thousand rs. will try to work, what the hell, any one who can fix my phone in INDIA ?

Unable to load the camera after an update. Also unable to use the front camera through apps like WhatsApp.

To solve bootloop, I've flash with the stock firmware manualy...

Download the last firmware for "bullhead" for Nexus 5X : 7.1.2 (N2G47W, Jun 2017)
In fastboost mode on the phone ( google search to know howto do this ), then connect usb to the computer.
Unzip the firmware.
Launch the "flash-all.bat" - (that's all).
It need some apps (fastboot.exe...) can be found there:
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html
Unzip in the same folder and rerun "flash-all.bat".
After the flash, the phone reboot, it's ok.

It sucks. Bootloop after Android 7.1.2 update.
