most LGO4XHD have that autofocus issue, but some don't if lucky.
hope the update is not "10b" like in europe market as it doesn't fix anything. LG has to take direct action and hopefully is not just an empty promise.
FYI:
@frankk7 have u tried "dead pixel test"? please run it and update the result. i found DEAD PIXEL in some units using a gray-black background. it sort of sparkling blue dot. it's not visible unless u run the "dead pixel test", but still it's a defect.

poor sounds enhancement output & lame video recording (continuous auto-focus makes the quality even more worse) ! SHAME ON YOU LG...

Kean, 13 Jul 2012what is the battery life like?If you close all applications and leave it on 3G only, would take about 1 or 2% of your battery,for hours.
Haven't check on full use yet. I will post when test it.

There is a new update coming soon to address the breathing focus issue found on some Optimus 4X, this is official now from LG and confirmed. Also there will be soon an update to Jelly Beans.
My 4X replacement due to the breathing issue on my last 4X, came today and I can say that the new one came this morning and the first thing I did was checking the video camera to see the focus.
The 4X amazon has sent to me which has arrived this morning, has so far no breathing issues at all, so it seems it has been fixed, or this model of 4X I have received today, don't have the issue at all, so I am happy I didn't hesitate to replace it for another one.
For those with the breathing issue, there are three possibilities.
1- Replace the phone from where you bought it.
2- Wait for the upcoming update from LG, there is an update designed to correct the breathing focus issue and other minor bugs, any time this month.
3- Or, if you can't wait, then download and install this application.

mihai, 08 Jul 2012Hi guys, I own a LG O2X - the first dual core smartphone ev... morenone of the tegra2 devices got ics update .. its problem of nvidia of not releasing their propitiatory drivers and libraries .. buy the latest phone in market instead of waiting for free updates . never heard a iphone users saying of os update .. google will release a os for nexus and the buggy version they will make opensource and its taking almost an year to manufactures to release
a phone with new OS. So its a problem with google too. they should have made android a real open source

i have been using the phone for a couple of days. its exactly like SG but with different twist. i love it. there is no physical home button which normally gets over used and causes problems. i had that happen to me on my SG II and an iPhone. so thats a positive for me. besides that its fast. flawless. picture quality is very good. i must say you can't find everything in one phone but this has everything i want. setting up yahoo mail is easy.
i don't notice much issues with AF as people have claimed. i am not a big fan of pictures. i take them when i want to and use phone like a phone. so sorry can't help people in that department. however, as an electronic gadget lover this is sleek and would be proud to say it beats the ugly SG III design (thats only my opinion based after feeling the curvy phone).
If you bought this phone $80 cheaper, you have a SG III in different design. the software on LG could be improved to make calls from call log with slide and little tweaks here and there. overall its fairly easy to use.

jzac, 10 Jul 2012I'm hoping to buy this phone. But there is a news coming fr... moreyes it seems worth a wait, BUT hopefully LG upcoming "in-house" chipset will be just as GOOD as the NvidiaTegra3. every new thing will have 50-50 chance in make/break it situation, just saying.
one concern though is the "only" 2100mAh battery to support something more advance than LGO4XHD, hope it wont be overly exhausted...CMIIW =)

maybe u should check why urs need time that long, or maybe something is wrong...CMIIW
